Hi people, just wondering if any of you have had any experience with any debt recovery company's with customers not paying.

I made a post a few weeks ago about dishonest customers,

This time I have been out right knocked by a customer, we agreed a price over the phone which was £13 then when I went to collect I was offered a handful of shrapnel amounting to £5, which I refused to take, this price was on monthly basis.

so if it was one off I would call it £26.

The old fella out right said im not paying you and if you don't like it sue me.

so im thinking of taking him up on his offer.

I know £26 is not much but its more of a principle Thing.

Also am I with in my right to go and soap his wimdow's up and tell him ill clean them when I receive payment.

Thanks people.

Forget about it, you've been mugged. Better to just get even IMO. So many possibilities so long as their is no cctv on the street. My aim would be to do something that will cost him well above and beyond how much he ripped me off by. Paint, oil, paint stripper, super glue, a stanley knife, dog poop, weed killer, a piece of china... are all things you can use for revenge.

I like your style, is it ok to soap the windows up as im the victim and am out of pocked or would the feds take his side in the event.

You've already cleaned his windows, so any action after that point would be seen as an unwanted one, and the law will be on his side. Clandestine operations may be the way to go. Or just forget it and move on with your life. I'm not the forgetting sort though. /emoticons/biggrin.png

I would let it go. Pride may take a hit and it would be lovely to get revenge but in the long run it might damage your business even though I'd love to smack him right in his face.

Not worth it mate, move on! I know how it feels, no one likes being mugged off! Initially you're desperately wanting revenge but in time it will fade.

I have had similar and it's just not worth it mate. We only learn from experience so just think about what you can do to prevent it from happening again.

Sounds like this chap is currently living in your head rent free - get him out of there otherwise he's gonna start effecting your other work, sanity and overall happiness.

I am sorry to hear about it mate, the guys a plonker......but if you get caught doing something is a £21 loss really worth it?

Yeah. I'm with @TolishAPurd. F.u.c.k him up!! Can't let people take the **** or think they've got one over on you. Loads of options with the glue, paint stripper etc but I'd want him to know it was me so def target the windows. Eggs all over the windows and his car would be quite nice...especially as they'll bake on in this fine weather /emoticons/smile.png

I had something similar from a shop in town, cleaned the windows, went in to collect and flat out refused. Went off to work for the day and went back with filthy water and soaped the whole shop front and glass then ambled back to my van. By the time I'd packed up and driven past all of the staff were outside looking bemused. Cue a phone call from the manager, "you've just been and soaped my windows and not cleaned it off?!" my reply was "Yeah, you refused to pay me so I'm putting the dirt back on for you"

Priceless. On a shop thats great, bit harder to do on a house, and you risk being chucked off your ladder when they get the idea of what you're doing. Soaping is prbably the best weapon we have though- can you imagine him calling the police and complaining that the window cleaner has left soap all over his windows./emoticons/biggrin.png They'd probably fine him for wasting their time.

Ive only had three non payers. First one was a first clean, they said wasnt happy with clena so not paying, i said id re clean asap, they said no. Ok 6 pack of free range eggs lobbed over hedge under cover of darkness, i even parked round corner and wore a hoody lol.

Second non payer was a conny roof, £30 they said id damaged their conny, in fact i had knocked an end cap off, i got them another end cap and to this day they havent paid...this one has cctv so im still pondering this one, but i wont forget.

Third was bloke i canvassed, he said i ll be in thurs for payment, not in..ill pay online..no payment, ok call weds, not in. I said ill call friday, no reply to text so i called friday anyway with an old dog turd out of the garden...

Ever tried skewering a fat dog turd with a door handle? slips right on

Its ingenuity like this that makes this forum so great.

What breed are we talking here? My spaniel punches well above his weight, he often has to climb down off it.

yes, I think there is nothing wrong in giving him his dirt back, I mean in the first place that is what your paid to remove.

Its a first floor flat, hopefully he falls out trying to clean them himself.

Oh ive no idea lol we dont have a dog but its regularly found in the back garden for some odd reason, it may well be a cat but its always a decent size id say maybe 1"x"6

a few days old so firm but soft enough to slide on without dropping to bits.

6x1 is respectable, possibly a labrador.

Maybe you could just take your dog for a walk and let it take a dump on his drive

Can imagine custy racing out of the door, "what the f*** are you doing"

"Oh just letting my dog foul your driveway sir as revenge for non payment of window cleaning services, its standard practice in the industry, you have a nice evening now"

Not sure if true, might be urban myth. I once heard a story of a revenge prank where someone called a load of different tradesmen, pizza and chinese delivery, life insurance, jehovas bunch, and just about anyone else that could make an apointment for 7 o clock at the blokes house. They also called a load of local reporters on the premise that something big was going to happen and had them turn up at the same time. Could you imagine the confusion with all the cars and vans etc turning up at the same time and knocking on the door demanding answers./emoticons/biggrin.png

I used to do blockbuster video before they went tits up

Did tileshop next door also

Tileshop manager watched while i did outside then only when i banged on the door to do inside (as i did it before opening) told me head office has stopped allowing them to have a windie

Cheeky fecker

He had as many windows soaped with my pole as i could do while he was doing something out of sight..then i left

Saw him a few times after that while doing blockbuster and he didn't have the balls to say anything
