Is your battery loose inside & clonk about???

Think mines come loose so may need to unscrew it to fix it back.

Mine was clonking..opened it up and put in the screw that was loose in there back in to the holder and it is fine

Also they pad it out with a bit of polystyrene which had moved due to the screw being loose

All fine now

One is a lot deeper set in than the others so need a longish screwdriver

Dont know the professional answer, but would say yes, it would overheat if left running dry, but not if its left dry just for a short moment?
