Please state if complaints are for you/workers and how many.

On average me personally about 10 a year with maybe one resulting in a loss of custom.

About one every three months, and they are always the one that is looking for a freebie and never had any intention of paying to begin with.

That's from a round of just over 500 customers so less than 0.25% so I am more than fine with that.

Does "get out of my knicker drawer!" count as a complaint... if so...1000's./emoticons/biggrin.png

Only had one complaint and loss of custom in the 2years I've been going. He had a big house with those poxy fake stick on georgian frames. I'd do a perfect trad job on them, and then when I left they would drip. I used to try everything, even checking the whole house after I was done, to catch any stray drips. But the next time I come back I could see the odd drips from last clean. His last cleaner that he sacked off was a WFPer, and he didnt have much luck either. Wonder how hes getting on with his new windy.

Had one that used to make subtle comments to try to get me to restore her sills within the monthly clean price... not happening as they were minging from years of neglect. And one that tried pulling a fast one saying I had missed a window when I clearly hadnt- she was retaliating as I was warning her over her slow payments. Both were ditched by me. So not a bad track record, but as with anything, the longer you do it, and the busier you get, the harder it gets to keep folk happy. Can't win em all as they say. The main thing for me is that I'm making good money, whilst keeping MOST people happy.

Lost two customers in two years, one said he could see lines across a window from certain angles in certain light conditions...I was new to cleaning and he was the only house in his road I cleaned so not too worried about that one...no idea why I lost the other one....had one woman complain I was expensive and accused me of scratching her patio door glass, turns out the husband leant their roatary washing line on the door and it fell and scratched a nice arch in the glass...that reminds me, that tight gits due an increase.

i lose about 1 job every 2 weeks down to complaints, many are very frivolous complaints and as said by Tolish above -you cant win em all. in this day and age a lot of folk want something for nothing, i always find the type who complain are best got rid of anyway . "im sick of you lot climbing my gate"

well why wont you unlock it,we knock on your door but you wont answer

"im in a conference "

dont giv me that

thats the sort i usually get

usually we are picking up 5 new jobs week on week just by having a street presence so im not unduly worried about tittle tattle moaners

a guy who cancelled recently didnt complain as such, told me he is moving. i always say "where to?" and if they then give a muddled reply i know theyre lying, not moving anywhere. but in this case he didnt want to say where for other reasons i could see it in his eyes.

this ageing guy lives alone, the typical wealthy tanned seedy bachelor and about 6 months ago blurted out to me hed broken his ankle while holidaying in Germany ,running down an up escalator while being chased

i just know that he was up to summat seedy, perhaps he hadnt paid for his call girls and the mob finally caught him at the airport ,who knows

What i do sense is hes still on the run

HAHA boarcity.

Interesting reading. Was told by a guy its a numbers game!

If you get hardly any complaints you are doing too good a job. Me personally i couldn't work like that /emoticons/sad.png

Guess that's true, if you've no complaints, then you're not working quick enough!

I lost one last week. A six quid job, my lowest earner. 5 mixed size windows. She wasn't happy that it took me ten minutes........? Six quid for funks sake.

Glad to get rid.

my complaints /losses seem to come in groups, none for months then 2/3/4 at once then its quiet again, i pick up more than that from the 2 parish mags i'm in so not really bothered but it does give me a couple of days where im looking at what i could be doing wrong then i think, stop it fat boy you got nearly 400 customers who are well happy so get on with it lol

Honestly, maybe 3-4 a year, but I think that's Largely because my round has mostly bigger houses so I'm not doing that many in a day, so not as many customers means less chance of complaints...

Usually it's a first clean though and usually along the lines of 'you left the windows all wet'

No one yet, only 5 months in business so fine with me. Better to spend 2 min more one the custy and keep them happy aslong as they pay on time.

But when i was employed windy i got roughly one a month, usually it was on the inside (only done outside) and the custys when nuts when they figured the company charged them a fiver for unnessearary driving back lol

Only 2 so far I think, both runs on first cleans and both still customers. I don't do the numbers most do though and if I did I'm sure there would have been more /emoticons/smile.png

I offer to all my customers an any problem guarantee

I will go back if any issues

Not had any issues in the last year but custys like it

I do similar for my custies called a 'free appology text'. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Only lost one customer who sent me a letter with a cheque for last clean, the letter was worded as though the guy was a water fed pole window cleaner himself, talked about not rinsing correctly and things like this, my guess is he had another cleaner knock on the door and tell him all this **** and used it as an excuse to dump me, most likely for a cheaper cleaner.

never had any really the only one I ever had came by letter to say nice and cheerful and a great window cleaner you are but its been thirteen weeks and we find that too long..

that would be most cheapies customers complaints but...

Im not in the least bit fecked as I point out..you have a smartphone ...you can text...and leave the money and windows done...

got one that is trying to get at me via the daughter but...sorry thats not an official route and cheapie wants a day off ...to work on his garden...

still not been to one job for an awful long time but er...may do one day..when cheapie not so busy..

seeing as most of mine have to wait for me I do feel its only right that I do a good job so money goes out of the window sometimes..

this week has been :turd: trying to finish early so I can get a day off sending me mad all the jobs took twice as long for some reason..

mind you the long warm spell means all the openers are filthy as they have been left open all the time../emoticons/biggrin.png

cant wait to chop them bushes down tomorrow been annoying me for ages..

i hear ya @cheapncheerful i was trying to get tomorrow off was working well until yesterday picked up a fsg then today picked up a gutter clean then there now picked up a new window clean .

have to get them done as van change is this weekend and next week is flat and having a baby

hmmm

who wants a all expeses paid holiday to belfast for next week:D

yep wanted this week off as wife off but equally need ...new tyres...both cars need taxing...a credit card bill I cant pay...and cash needed to get rid of the wife...

okay....shes only going on the train to see the daughters....drat....but cheapie got no nagging for a while...:rofl:but he of course would never put the porn on the big tv...

"If you get hardly any complaints you are doing too good a job"

and

"if you've no complaints, then you're not working quick enough!"

Seems a bit of a strange mind set to me?? I personally think that if I get NO complaints then I must be doing a an excellent job, just saying /emoticons/wink.png
