What do you guys use as a scraper and how do you attach it to pole??

Any advice or links appreciated

you mean when using wfp?

I find soaking gets most stuff off just come back to it, or i just use side of brush head and scrat it lol.

I'm about to order the Gardiner one as I came up against some unbeatable bird **** the other week, I think it sits opposite the brush and has an abrasive pad and scraper in one.

Maybe ubik or virosol on the brush might work..got some first cleans to do wfp

I turn the pole round so the back of the brush can be used to 'scrape' it off, though you need to be careful you don't scratch the window, but it does work. I use this as a last resort though, not really ideal!

If you're using the brush head, couldn't you stick on a mild abrasive pad direct? Might be less chance of a scratch

We use this when we come across some really stubborn stuff.

Teleplus pole with add ons to 4 sections.

When we first started wfp 10 years ago we used Unger Teleplus poles with Vikan brushes. So the Ungers are left over from that era. We still use them from time to time though, especially when we are doing high level internal window cleaning.

I have an optiloc 3 section and a harris pole with optiloc cone so that is a good idea..cheers bud

I had 1 like that yesterday

New clean 1 spot of bird :turd:

3 soaks with pure and nothing so put a bit of neat virosol on the brush and it finally moved

Same as Spruce, it happens here and there but as you know daeyboy1 from trad you can tell a

stubborn one just by looking. A soak is normally enough though.

Once you take the crust off you can remove it easily with the brush but sometime you leave a shadow that can only be seen from inside or when the glass is almost dry and the right angle, the scraper is good for these too.

I too use the edge of the brush stock at times but with brick dust on the stock it could scratch the glass.

I stuck Velcro on ends of my tecbuk with resin and worked a treat, using Gardiner sill more and more though and can't do it with that sadly.

i have scrued a gardner super scraper to my angle nack wrks very well u can then put any type of scrub pad on u want i use the white gardners one or bronze wool pad cut up an elastic banded on

I got that idea off dodger yonks ago. He told me about it. I went out & bought some xtra strong Velcro & stuck it with super glue to the brush. Works a treat @daveyboy1 & good for fly **** when you can see it.
