U totally trad free now?
I still do the odd bottom window or like the one i did today had a window on the side of the house above garage so had to jump up on flat roof but 99% wfp now

I could have done with it today mate on the huge greenhouse I did. I don't think I'm going to do connys or greenhouses any more unless I go wfp.
Pump box off ebay was only 65 notes and pole with brush 120

Will be ok if you can find someone local like i did who sells pure and tanks etc so no need to make your own

I have been cought out a couple of times like this, but I am considering charging double on first clean but third clean is free, so if they only use you once you get double your money, but chances are they will use you, even if a time waster three times to get their free one.

It's a koboi one like cheapies backpack

It will do the job until i can sort a van

Reckon a couple of months then it's done it's job

@Greener On the whole double for first cleans issue I just did a bit of maths. Not trying to push the issue, just want to give food for thought. 250 custies x £12 (ex for average house) = £3000

Thats 3 grand that could have paid off all your WFP gear, maybe even bought a new van. Don't short change yourself mate, people forget about that first clean very quickly. I treat it like a membership fee- "You want me as your windie?....this is how much it is to buy in".

You are not in the wrong Purdy however in an area like mine where there are loads of windies competing for business 'first clean' extra charges just wont fly, all you would hear is 'Ok i'll think about it' as they call another windie that doesn't charge extra.

Ey, lots of people say how tough it is on prices as you move up the country, so who am I to argue. But greener is in swindon which I would say is an affluent area. Around here windies are 10 a penny, but the key is getting your foot in the door, from there I find your personality and attitude can win the day for you. No right answer to this topic, depends on the area, your sales ability, and probably a bit of luck.

I charge varying amounts for first cleans on a job by job basis and am not cheap but i still get lots of work

Lots by recommendations too which shows the standard of my work is worth the extra cost

I never lower my price through fear of being rejected

oh sugar and i just put through a double first clean today...oops..

ya should have seen me sneak up put it through the door and run like the clappers..

does depend a lot on the condition of the windows etc but having done a first clean today and feeling knackered...it is worth getting the extra...as its bloomin hard work..

cheapie wants a break so any new work is double to give him some peace...

and double for insides unless done regular as well as there hard work too..

ya should have seen cheapie last monday explaining how he couldnt do the inside glass conny roof with out putting in a risk assessment for the insurance..and of course it would cost a lot more than normal windows...

I see your point, I'll give it a go on the next green ones I quote and see how we get on buddy ;-)

Also i buy my water so if a new clean takes an extra drum of water i want that quid on top of my higher charge

Most times i don't charge double but i always charge more than standard

yeh but...hes got the same pole as me and its er...very bendy:rofl:

I wouldnt trust wfp as you have to get some pressure on and at that reach it would be hard to do..

just think of it as a muscle building exercise..

beware how far you extend your pole as its easy to over extend and break your clamp:rolleyes:

has your pole given you a bite yet daveyboy...if it hasnt your not workin fast enough..

it happens when rushing to collapse your pole and it pinches your skin.

Quoting for a couple of neighbours tomorrow that were cleaned six weeks ago so there will be no extra charge....when they are like this or worse I know it's going to take a lot longer for the first clean so the cost reflects the time taken.View attachment 5047
