Oi Jake

Cool tuffers. Why is rossi not in your top 5? I guess he must be getting on a bit now. I used to watch years and years ago, went to le-mans once which was awesome to see the tens of thousands of bikes making their way there!

My dad was at speedway in Southampton when a guy came off and decapitated himself on the chain fence..they banned it there after that..before i was born
That's awful!

Rossi is actually leading the championship to be fair lol

I have been round the Isle of man tt course in my old 1275gt turbo engined mini on a mini club holiday..wicked driving round those streets with about 30 minis

Pity we can't get the roads shut off while we do it

I watched free practice earlier, Rossi off the pace, as he usually is tbf. If he could sort his qualifying out he'd be well ahead this year. But like Jake says, he's leading the championship this year, so will be up there. Can't see him getting a top 3 this weekend, but who knows? It's between him and Lorenzo for the title. Would love to see Rossi win it again. Totally devoted 30+ years old, not married and no kids. Totally devoted racer

I second that. My first car was a mini cooper, british racing green, the best bit was it had a sports clutch, pedal down, change gear, pedal up lol, it was bloody quick to change gear, it was like a go cart ragging that puppy around. Impossible to flip, drifting was childs play and you can pull off things in a mini that colin mcrae would find challenging. I did end up writing it off though, landed it ON a post next to a roundabout and bent the whole chassis - to be fair there was some light drizzle hahaha  I was meant to pass it down to my bro's, they weren't so happy lol

From what i remember about rossi, occasionally he would ace the practice/qualifiers if he could be bothered, but he mostly just dawdling about until about 6/8 laps from the end of the race and then just fly into first place somehow... Then stand on his bike as he goes over the finish line lol. He used to date an italian supermodel... And to be honest if I did motogp and was dating her I'd be able to win too, I'd risk everything to finish the race and get back to her as quickly as possible /emoticons/biggrin.png

I had a 1275 GT when I was early 20's. Bag of :turd: it was. The serial number on the block was screwed on instead of riveted. I was wet behind the ears then and looking back I reckon it was a bog standard clubman . Mrs wants a 5 door Cooper 'S' next. A bit small for a family car, but I do like the 3 door Cooper 'S' :h:

Mine was originally a mini city 998cc

Swapped the lump for a metro 1275gt turbo with metro hle gearbox as is longer ratio

Screamer

That's how i met the wife..i had my red turbo mini with era bodykit and wheels

She had a luminous pink naturally aspirated 1275gt metro powered mini and she used to try to race me whenever we passed in the town

Sheesh, I remember the MG Metro and the turbo. My mom had an MG Metro and my sisters boyfriend who was a mechanic tuned it up. Freek me it was quick!

I even had metro seats

Got some dexian (the angle iron stuff with the holes in for making shelving in shops etc and mounted the seats to that bolted to the mini floor so the would slide back and forward

I just love watching Marquez, if they sort that Honda out like it was last year, he'll be away...

Love his style! Lorenzo is a miserable sod...

Wouldn't mind of Rossi wins title, bit of prefer Marquez...

View attachment 5093 This is the bodykit and colour my old one was

Was an era lookalike

Only 250 ish ever made so it could be classed as a rally car

Most went to china

Only about 50 remained here

I had a set of genuine wheels which were about 250 quid each back then when my missus was 18 ..shes 37 now..wish i still had em

.would be worth a fortune

I watched it back when rossi and mad max were in 125s

Foggy was always my favourite

@Tuffers
My results guess was almost spot on!!!

Top three was in the bag!
Well done Jake  I wonder what odds you'd have got on that?

I had an email from Silverstone yesterday and they are doing pit walks on the Saturday night at about 5:00 for £10 per person. I ordered 2, not sure how much we'll see but it should be fun. Even if we just see inside the garages that will be cool and I'll take a few pics and post them on here.
