Back in the day i have been known to do well over 20 3 beds in a day on my own

Now with wfp i could do it easy if i tried

I have done 3 weeks now and treat them all as first cleans as will have soap in the seals etc but can still do a 3 bed in about 20 minutes

Done my 2 weeklys twice now and they were very easy..

I have 3 2 beds in a row i did last week in about an hour including doing all top frames first as were all in need of a good scrub

Getting quicker all the time

Dang 20 minutes eh. You must start at 11 and finish at 2 every day and still do 3 times as many as me you lucky so and so /emoticons/wink.png

I can do 3 average 3 beds an hour trad if they were next door to each other and maintenance cleans

When i used to sub the guy had a lot of roads where you could do 4 or 5 without moving the motor

Would knock them out in no time

Speed will come @MrBump..just takes time

Give it a couple of weeks so i am then doing second wfp cleans and I'll be a lot quicker

Did my own a few times now and i know they are already spotless but can do the front in around 5 minutes with no spots

What do you mean I'll speed up with time - I've been wfping longer than you! /emoticons/tongue.png  I think this is just my speed now, going to have to up my prices /emoticons/biggrin.png Good luck trying to do those 5 houses now without moving lol

Wax on wax off Bumpy San, it was not until I deliberately decided to slow down and work out a plan for each job (where to position van, where to lay hose etc etc,) that I actually got faster, just by having a well laid out routine I saved half hour a day.

Longer than 3 weeks daveyboy, although you have probably covered more custies in the last weeks than I have in the last 3 months!

Green I think your right, I need to actually slow down even more... This sounds crazy I know but go with it /emoticons/wink.png Just for a month and work out a plan like you say, plan the clean better and setting up etc. Takes me a good ten mins to set up and clear up after.

Hang on screw you guys, we're not comparing like for like here. I am fast - for a bendy arm, you all have 2 straight arms so its an unfair comparison /emoticons/tongue.png:rofl:

I have got quicker already just by sticking to the same procedure every time so i do it without thinking

Then like green says it's all about thinking the job through

I am the same when tradding..always going for least ladder moves etc

I am using 25l drums and a pump/battery box

Not got a huge hose so i try to place it in the best place to do the most without moving

Some jobs i have placed it right and just about managed to do the whole lot from 1 place

up until now ive been taking about 20 mins per house, my main prob is due to working employed by round has got mixed up and scattered about, when i get another chunk of work in im going to re do it all and make sure i get it orgainized into days, cant be going from one end of town to the other in the same day.

i can do about 12 a day but there not compact i want to be able to do 12-15 in 6 hours thats the goal

Driving between jobs can soon add up to a few houses less per day

My furthest jobs in town are about 3 miles away but i still stick to 1 area at a time

mine are in about a 6 mile radius generally, but i have about 4-5 that are total randoms and about 10mile away in diff directions, i need to bin these asap lol

I had a few like that which are now all gone
ill keep them for now as its all money but ill just put them all on the same day and they will be the first to be sacrificed if any better paying jobs come along

12-15 in 6 hours, that sounds brilliant. My average per job may be a little higher, at the mo, but I bet your hourly rate will be higher than mine and you'll be home by the time I get half way through my day! /emoticons/wink.png/emoticons/tongue.png I'll be happy with 10 in 10 hrs lol

I think I was actually quicker the few times I used my backpack. Not sure why, maybe like you say you plan ahead better and it is actually easier, imo, to move a backpack around than to drag a hose around, untangle it, wind it back in, go and find where its caught, wind it in a bit more and so on lol /emoticons/biggrin.png This is balanced out by an easier morning, put the hose in the tank and have a cuppa, no lugging water about /emoticons/biggrin.png

Jake I'm a dorset boy /emoticons/wink.png

dont be too hasty to get rid. if was you id sit down and plan a marketing campaign [ flyers with the area name on them-rubber stamped is a cheap option] targetted at the area where these are. to make travelling out there well worth your while. plan it beforehand to make sure it works.get a few photos of you out there and use them on your FB page-it doesnt have to be window cleaning, you can be eating a cake, long as the main street is in the image

when i first started out i kicked off in a god forsaken village [bawdsey] and was sure id drop it once i got a proper toehold in the towns. but being odd i didnt

8 years later im still going out to that village [once a month] and its now one of the busiest/most gruelling/most lucrative day of the whole round. my workers love/hate the place ,

recent changes due to a customer moving means we are no longer cleaning the windows of "the old belltower" which drew a collective "thankfook" sigh of relief !

I must admit ive got rid of a custy or 2 before in areas i dont normally do then sods law a few weeks later had an enquiry off fb for someone in the next street.

Thanks

70's pretty good, your a third of the way there and you have more than me /emoticons/wink.png How long have you beeen going for? I have a few big jobs which bumps my average up, most jobs are actually 15-20 (have a 15 minimum). My idea is to solely target those bigger houses /emoticons/wink.png That and bungalows of course to give the neck a break lol. Half of my customers are every other month too, not all monthly like it sounds like yours are. I know all about being skint, having a broken elbow and being out of 90% of my work for almost 2 months crushed me. Hence I will be delivering my own leaflets for a while and not paying for any ads either lol

300 customers, wow that is good! I only want 200 total lol. You must be up in the thousands
A fiver a day is £150 a month, far too rich for my blood. I can't afford that at the moment, I'll stick to free for now and hope for the best. If its priced on area, there are literally hundreds of windies round here so that will up prices more. I only did 2 window cleaning jobs today and saw 3 new vans, all un-signwritten, all wfp, I usually see a new one EVERY day, but now its getting ridiculous. I need to get my round up to speed before it all gets coined by everyone else round here, I need facebook now lol. Thanks for the tips, will try out asap
