DIY water fed poles

like nearlyclean i have a 18ft harris pole, then just a few unger aluminum poles and a 42 bare carbon firbe pole, use some proper brushes and then i find some good qulity sweaping brushs for some of the high work to keep weight down!

i seem to use less water with 4 than i do when there is 2, but if you think about it, there is the same ammont coming out of both really, just the 4 one has less pressure

Where do you buy a blank brush ? I love making things even tho I'm **** at it lol

for the proper brushes window cleaning suppliers

as for the other brushes i use, asda and places like that! who can complain about spending £4 on a brush for window cleaning!

I would make my own van system myself aswell i hate lining the pockets of other people unless its really neccesary .

buy a blank brush, measure and drill holes for the size pipe i use, get some pushfitt connectors and thats about it really, 4 pencil jet brush!

That's great. I'm interested in making my own brush. Have made to poles but bought the brush as weren't sure how to make a brush. Can you go into a bit more detail. What brush did you buy & from where & where do you get the push in connectors?

You made a wfp pole that's working ok. Brushes sound good. Woz wondering if anyone made em.

yer they all work well and all have taps on them so i can turn water on and off without taking hands of the pole!!

Yeah I gotta do that on mine. I've just got em on my backpack so am always running back to them to turn them off.

what do you make the poles out of ? and also brushes

I buy a Harris 5 mtrr pole & a Harris metal broom handle. Cut the thread off the pole & cut about a foot off the broom handle threaded end. Slide the broom handle bit onto the pole usin epoxy resin. Drill a hole in top of pole & halfway up broom handle bit thread yer hose through & out the broom handle hole add yer connectors and connect to yet brush. There is a thread in the DIY section where a chap explains it much better

i dont cut my poles nor have pipe going down the centre of them! i'll get picutes up to show later
