Finally able to start setting up. Now I need help!

@Jon Grainger if you did just one day with an slx 22 you would see the massive difference, that extra 5 feet you only use rarely so you could just keep an extension in the van, why carry it around all day?

Also clx are bendy even on first floor (again you have to try an slx to know what i mean) you can put more pressure on the window with less effort.

@heyoh I have used my wife's CLX18, so I know what you mean, but I find that a bit too light and flimsy, like I can't put the pressure on it that I require.

I probably use the pole fully extended three or four times per day on my round, so it'd be a right faff for me, to have to thread another section on.

I love my slx22 and can't imagine changing it for anything else, would never use anything bigger for day to day, its big enough as it is for the ground floor, any longer would be too awkward for me, but I'm then I'm hardly a 6ft baller /emoticons/wink.png Also almost all of my work is 1 or 2 storey, I can only think of 2/3 jobs where I need to get my extensions out, which I then swiftly take back off, only takes 2 mins with quik-loks etc. But each to their own and it depends on your property types etc. If mostly 1 or 2 storey work though the slx22 is totally badass imho

slx 22 covers me for 99.34% of my work, theres the odd 3rd floor that im at full stretch, but i manage, theres 2 houses with velux on my round that i cant reach but i just leave em lol, i could always buy a couple of extensions in the future although i cant see the need anytime soon. Will defo get an xtreme 22 when this dies.

You can get hose and reel from local screwfix

Microbore 50 and 100m i have seen in there..unless you specifically want pure freedom

what hose and reel are you after?

i got my 100m 6mm microbore off ebay for about £45 delivered i think

i personally use a plastic hoselock reel, was a bit sceptical but ive had it 6 months now and its fine, think they was on offer at b&q for about £18

What are the delivery charges usually like with Pure Freedom? I was going to order my hose & reel, but it tried to charge me £54 for delivery! balls to that!
You sure you got delivery right? Purefreedom are usually reasonable with postage.

Just put a reel in the basket and got a postage quote. You're right, it was saying next day delivery £54  WTF!

Does anyone not use gardiner poles??I like the look of the facelift phoenix
I have the SLX 22 and the Facelift Phoenix 22. I liked the look of the Phoenix too, but the SLX is a better pole IMO. More sturdy and has stops on each section so you cant accidentally pull the section out when extending, which you do with the phoenix.

I know yeh, £54 for bloody delivery is crazy

Think I use 1/2" reinforced clear (ish) hose. As long as you are at least as wide as the ports its all good, maybe the next size up too, but no smaller or it will slow it down and put strain on the pump
