ran out of ubik

No mate just Ubik, I have a mix in a spray bottle on my belt, I am quite liberal I mix about 10/1.

Not just handy with the grime but superb for bird :turd: and those little yellow marks that someone said is pollen from bees.

If I had found Ubik when I was still tradding I think I would have mixed it into my GG4..........Hhhmmmm something else to try now! /emoticons/smile.png)

I bought 5l virosol and 5l ubik about 5 months ago and only recently used it all

Usually have a 7l sprayer full of mix but only need a little per job

did my mother windows yesterday spraying ubik with pure water on the brush, it seem to turn out ok. (i must mention the windows was already quite clean)

no spotting whatsoever, i think i will drop ecover and just spray ubik diluted with water on brush from now on for all my customers.

It is potent stuff

By using it on the brush then rinsing you don't give it time to dry out which is when it can stain

I am using it on first cleans then no need after as the frames etc are spotless

just started using ubik , well pleased have it diluted in one of then spray bottles well pleasaed

magic sponges just ordered them tryb them for the first time too soon

davey do you dilute it 10-1 or can I use it stronger

i would only use it when the windows are minging dave

A lot of my work is every 2 month, it always minging when I go back.

Like daveyboy said ''don't let it dry out'', I think it doesnt get spotting because ubik melt the dirt away quickly and once I finsh risning it just clean pure water left on the windows which evaporate leaving it spotless.

Not sure about using it on leaded windows though

I have used it 2:1 before

Very dirty end of tenancy job but i feel it was overkill

Fine on leadeds dave

I was in Cleaning Warehouse in Wolverhampton yesterday morning chatting to Adam, said I need something for kitchens mate, all excited he jumps up and say's 'Ubik 2000!'

I says 'really? what else is it good for cleaning?'

'All sorts' he says

'That's good' I replied 'I got 10 liters in the back of the van!' /emoticons/tongue.png

But seriously even at 20:1 Ubik is awesome stuff for seriously dirty **** and I literately just add a dash to my spray bottle and it is still awesome!

I always clean the same way, scrub window, then good rinse, brush sill, next.

It takes me no longer with Ubik, and some I do use monthly on. I always on a first clean as it really is the nuts. And now I keep a sprayer on my belt as some customers have those little yellow pollen spots every month and it cuts through in no time at all.

Excited for next week when I go hot water and Ubik!! /emoticons/tongue.png

Honest answer truly is.....because I can.......

However I never do anything just because. Hot cleans more efficiently, fact so, in theory less water, as Shazza has said on here before, seconds scrubbing off bird cr@p instead of minutes. It will be nicer to work with in the winter as just seeing that little bit of steam will mentally make me feel warmer and lastly because I can do it for under £100.

People harp on about thermal shock and breaking glass, possible with single glazed panes but with double glazing I seriously doubt it after all this is not Alaska and also the glass temperature is always higher than the outside air temperature as the indoors usually has the heating on.

Whilst I fear thermal shock not in the slightest it would be a curious fact to know as to exactly how extreme we must go to have thermal shock.

Thermal shock in my opinion is like petrol stations, everyone knows a mate who knows a chap that blew up a petrol station with a cell phone but funnily you never get to hear about it in the news! /emoticons/tongue.png

I have used HOT water tradding in winter many a time and never had an incident...i think it has to be a big extreme in temperature. .bearing in mind only a small portion of the glass will be hot at any time..even while rinsing with hot it would be cool by the time it's moved an inch or so due to the cold air and glass
