Hi Guys

just wanted some feedback on your thoughts of changing our company name.

We are splashing out on a new van /emoticons/smile.png and our logo is looking dated and needs refreshing after 12 years.

Have any of you changed your name and has this had a detrimental effect on your round?

Will customers assume we have money problems?

Will we be shooting ourselves in the foot?

The reality is we are very busy and need a bigger van etc and fancy some new graphics on the van, things have moved on in the vehicle graphics world!! /emoticons/smile.png

Would love to hear some opinions

Cheers

Liam

Keep the name, but pay a braving guy to come up with a new logo, that's the best way imo...

Otherwise you may find its more hassle than it's worth, especially after 12 years!

I am changing name soon for the same reason (getting a van sorted and revamping image) but gonna find a way to incorporate my current name into it somehow

How much value / good will does your name have? Vs. How many new customers would a new name bring in. Thats what it all comes down to. Your current customers can be told and your websites can be redirected. But if everyone around town knows who you are then you may aswell keep the same name.

Dont be afraid to let your customers know you aren't scared to have your van dragged screaming and kicking into the 21st century!

Keep the name, keep the color scheme and have some overpaid art college drop out work you up a fancy new look. /emoticons/smile.png)

Yes I would agree, stick with the 12 yr old name and build around that and make it into a striking brand! One thing where my money was well spent (and lots of it) was image! Absolutely key to growth and to stand out from the rest.
