Do gutter vacs actually work?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

The tools it comes with are all pretty handy, especially the 90 degree angle one, you can get under any really stuck sods and pull them out, has come in really handy several times over conservatories etc where you couldn't physically get to it anyway.

Trev I looked on ebay the other day and found nothing, so cheers for that. At that price I'll take it /emoticons/biggrin.png Feel free to edit and remove that link so someone else on here don't bump my price up /emoticons/wink.png:rofl:

Diwrnach I saw that one a while ago when I was looking before but couldn't find it again so cheers, they look good.

Trev looks like your on a ladder for that one lol, but vaccing just seems so much cleaner and less likely to make a mess outside or around the gutter to me, I could be totally wrong though.

Yes on a step ladder @MrBump lol! I saw it as the only way to do that gutter, pulling it all back with a tool on a stick would of pulled it up and over on to the freshly cleaned glass roof that took me bloody ages to clean!

Guys what diameter poles do you use? Seems there are both 40mm and 50mm to choose from...

I was going to ask if you cleaned the conservatory! It looks brand new
Yes and what a big bugger it was! Inside and out, although I had the other half doing the inside /emoticons/biggrin.png

Keep a eye on this it might end up going for a steal http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SkyVac-Gutter-Cleaning-Machine-/321843352720?hash=item4aef5bd490
I went for the SkyVac system in the end with the 8 carbon poles but blagged a extra so got 9, I haggled on the phone and got a decent enough deal, yes expensive but it's a tool that should last many a year looked after correctly and the earnings far outway the initial cost which is of course tax deductible, the end tools aint the best but doubt there much to replace once a year or so, if anybody has any links to end tools that will fit it I'd be interested as some of mine are a bit well used now so might replace a few.
I'm going to put a bid in on that baby

I did go to do it but it would only let me edit my last post and I had written again since that one?

I did a spot of gutter weed hunting today round a few estates with my fancy new A4 leaflets, posted about 60 odd I guess, shouldn't take long to have a few calling up judging by the height of some of the weeds lol!

Grrr 7 bids and over £200 gone on sinces its been on here already in only a few hours. Its quickly going to be less and less of a deal :eek:o:

I think you get an hour to edit posts before it locks.

I was originally thinking of getting wc custies to add on others jobs, but it seems it might be easier the other way around at the mo lol, get them with the overflowing gutters and then 'up-sell' the windies, as I did earlier.

Go go see quote on fri, might have to rethink my min. price for little 2 gutter properties, I was thinking for detached houses as thats what all my other quotes are for, maybe I'll have a £60 min for bungalows and terraced (and semis?) and then £100 for everything else. Be awesome if the vac pays for itself within a few weeks! /emoticons/biggrin.png

I am a sucker for new shiny things Jake  If I get a new one though it won't be a top dog skyvac induatrial though like that one! Thats double my budget.

I was a sucker for a shiny one lol! Typicle 3 bed semi I charge £30 a side, normally 2 lengths so £60, but always push it to the next door neighbour as normally they share the same gutter, most end up going for it, I then strike a deal at a ton! On bigger detached homes chsrge what you can get away with lol /emoticons/wink.png
