Glad I chose this week to have a holiday!

I didn't have much choice about going to hereford..army decided i was going so i was going lol

I prefer the south coast though

Spent a lot of time on excercise in aldershot also so used to nip to Southampton to visit when i could

Drove to cornwall to deliver loads of plants and garden stuff, long old journey, shattered today.

Monkey world is awesome, its funny watching them, but I wish they opened up their enclosures to us, they look so much fun in there!

Rained all morning here, but lovely and sunny all afternoon. The countryside is all cool, but you don't get a feel for it so much when in the towns, like bournemouth, poole, southampton etc. Good place to escape to though. Its funny, a 25minute drive away its like travelling back in time 25 years (and the rest lol), nah j/k it all has some real charm about it round there. I'm always out in the new forest myself, you may swing past it on your way through although you probably go a303 way I'm guessing.

Weather should be good now til sunday... At least it better be, some of us have work to catch up on! /emoticons/tongue.png

Where you from then bumpy??

All my family are that way..uncle kev is a warden in the new forest

...

Yeah that old @boarcity isnt half expensive

Have yourself a break cheap, how about taking the missus on a long weekend?

Also been up pen y fan
Pen Y Fan is my backyard daveyboy1 walk my dog up there regularly. but that mountain is responsible for the heavy rain my area gets!

Also responsible for a few dead squaddies recently. .sas selection in the summer

You would think they would have been more on the ball in that heat..the nav course is a killer at the best of times up there

I'm back!

Left late last night so as to avoid traffic - didn't work, m25 was chocka block almost the whole way clockwise, can't win with that motorway, need another holiday now after that journey :mad:

yea that "fan dance" i think they call it is gruelling without kit in cool weather, full kit, time limit plus hottest day for a number of years meant a disaster. gets cold up there too! back in 2010 a chap crashed his plain on the ridge on leading to Corn ddu. see photos, always bump into some characters up there!View attachment 5194

Looked at the forecast and booked a ferry to Calais, drove down to Chatel and stayed in the chalet I go to for skiing. Never seen the Alps not covered in snow, stunning. 32 degrees, bright sunshine every day. Now back home looking at the rain coming down.

Just done a handfull..gonna drop another one methinks

Her husband works nights so i do it after 2pm

Arranged it the other day and was a monsoon so i waited and then just as it eased i went to go round there and she messaged with "i assume you won't be round in this so see you when the weather is better"

I told her it's ok now so I'll be round

She says i went out as i thought you wouldn't be coming

Re arranged for today

This is today's conversation

Hi Dave, obviously not expecting to see you today, I can't do tomorrow so just message me when your able to come.

I'll be round as arranged at 1400 as the rain is stopping at 1200

I'm going out later so will see you during the week. Thanks.

So she uses the weather as an excuse to go out instead of waiting for me

The back gate she could leave unlocked as is in a quiet cul de sac but insists on keeping it locked

Do you think i will see her in the week??

10 points for the correct answer
