I would love @Alex Gardiner to make these available for all poles, as I think it would greatly help with repetitive strain, and less tiring with the higher work,

Maybe two carbon fibre handles with an adjustable fitting mechanism (so it could fit all poles) would be brilliant, keeps them light being carbon, and some sort of adjustable strap so you can use them on all your poles would be great, I think there is a huge gap in the market for handles, it's amazing it's not been done yet, so we'll done Alex for thinking of it, and actually doing it!

Some prototypes would be great? Just to see how it feels/works?

I was doing a monthly office this morning and these handles would've come in handy...

Love to give them a go!

Yeah they look good, but why is the bottom one double? I do like gardiner stuff, quality products

Dunno, I think I'd turn the top one 90 degrees so it was like a ladder rung to hold... But can't tell without trying it!

You see I think that's brilliant spruce, I think that's worth a try even for everyday work, many a time I wish I could have the handle type grip at the bottom of the pole for better control and comfort...

Yes that makes more sense

Already been done by reach-it

10 minutes 16 into this and around 12 minutes

Yeah that's the one spruce posted Dave, but it's only for reachit poles at the moment, which no ones uses, Perry might make them available for all poles, but I'd like to see Gardiner so them for all there poles,

Perry only recently came up with that idea, no ones used them yet, not seen anyone mention them, so don't know how readily available they are from Perry

It's more the bottom of the pole where a handle would be beneficial, but having a drill handle at the bottom would mean your off Center and that would make it hard to control, the handle needs to be like the reach it one...

This is perfect, just hope he makes it available for all poles

Glad you like the look of them. They are also able to fit on the 9 section Super Max 50 pole and also the new Super Max 63 about to be released. Technically they could be made for any size section. We would just need to create a new alloy mould of the correct size to fit on to the section.

The lower handle is double as I wanted to spread the strain on to 3 areas of the base section, which allowed me to have more of a handle design on this lower part. This is useful as your hand cannot then slip off the handle when applying power to push and pull the pole. Some of our testers even preferred using the top part of this lower handle whilst working.

I can't see these working for our everyday Slx22.

But a useful addition to poles used in high reach applications.
I would agree that a small diameter section pole like the SLX22 would not benefit as much. The idea behind these was to allow you to apply maximum force to the pole with no loss of control. When using an 80ft pole the last thing you would want is a lack of control if the wind were to catch the top of the pole. Having these fixed handles allows your hand to rotate around the handle when needed to get the most ergonomic position without sacrificing having a fixed anchor point should you need to 'catch' the pole in a tricky manoeuvre.

Nice garden Mr G
Thanks - Looks nicer than our work's car park!

@Alex Gardiner i think if you made one available with a strap/ratchet for all the poles it would help with aches and pains Alex, defo something to consider, and I'm sure we'd much rather buy from you than Perry

I can see it being the future, because it's gonna help with repetitive strain and overall control and pressure,

Sometimes I've found holding the end cap on the pole in my palm is a great comfy way to work, I've often wished there was some sort of handle that could be added as and when for comfort.. As holding the pole sideways with a strong grip can get tiring on big commercial jobs and even long days on residential...

Hope to see them soon Alex! /emoticons/wink.png;)

Interesting. I also hold the end cap, just to reduce the rsi I'm getting on my right thumb, where it meets the wrist (scaphoid maybe?). Anything that'll allow variety in hand position can only be good.

That's what I'm thinking, it's just a no brainer... Handles should be readily available...
