Hi all , this is my first post so thanks for taking the time to see me lose my "posting" virginity !!!

I'm in the market for a new van , which saddens me as I really do love my Escort van , but it's old and tired and won't run forever.

I love the height of the van as it's easy to get my ladders off ( I clean mainly traditionally with a backpack for the awkward ones) so don't want anything to high .

Any suggestions ??

Welcome @Borntogolf. Citroen Dispatch, Peugeot Expert is the van to have. I love mine that much I could live in it /emoticons/smile.png

Welcome borntogolf. I also have a Peugeot expert. These are higher than an escort, but I have a roll bar on the back and loading ladders is a piece of doddle

Thanks fellas , was looking at a Peugeot Partner , which I believe is a little smaller than the Expert , so it should be ok

Thought about the astravan but hate vauxhalls !!!!!! As for the Caddy , nice van but mucho deniro !!

I can get a pre reg 15 plate Partner with 10 miles for £7,600 + vat , good value I think.

i wonder what Mercedes is going to do i say they will relaunch there range since the take over of nissan ford and the vivaro gang lol

Yeah. What will Mercedes do? Same as they always do. Charge you for the brand name right across the board. From birth.

iv a partner, rear bumper step up and its about the max in height you want to go if you are trad all day long . any higher itd be a real drag

astra van is no no good for trad cos it has a tailgate so ladders nave to go on very far forward. if i had an astravan id take out rear window glass and fit a serving hatch possibly made of perspex
