£27 4 weekly. Some have said a lot more than me, but from experience if you quote high you won't get it. I've quoted 3 commercials lately and not heard a dickie from them.
I'm more inclined to agree with Tuffers.

Don't be fooled into thinking you'll even get the opportunity to re-negotiate your first quote- as more often than not you wont. That's a very easy and fast job- they don't come much more "wfp ideal" than that one. You run the risk of losing a great £30 job- which for me wouldn't matter as I'm running at full capacity and can afford to take the risk, but can you?

£39.90 first clean, on a 4 weekly maintenance I'd go £22.50, 8 weekly £32.50, I've found not going on round figures has them thinking you have done the best deal possible and worked out to the pin rather than a plucked up on the nose round sum amount.

Will someone be nice enough to explain to me why you charge more for an 8 week clean instead of 4 weeks? Is this just down to the windows being dirtier by 4 weeks?

Remember there are no such things as stupid questions........Only stupid people!!! /emoticons/smile.png :)

My take is they are a bit dirtier, so the need is greater; after a month it's hard to see any dirt on some of mine so two monthly is more popular.

Also, they are getting a better deal out of you getting a year of cleaning for less overall, so it's about your business model scaling their needs into your needs and finding a middle ground so you make a good living and they get a good deal and clean windows for best price. You'll need twice the customer base to survive on two monthly model potentially so if they 'bulk buy' monthly they get a 'discount'

Simple Parky,

I do mine by calendar month so all customers get cleaned: Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, and so on and on.

However if a customer wants every other month, then 6 months of the year I am losing a clean (or I need to find another to do on the months I am not doing theirs)

If the price was just the price regardless of frequency then you will find customers only calling you every year or so when they notice their windows are dirty.

I have a customer that has his windows every 6 months as he says they dont need doing more than twice a year. He pays £45 per clean for a 20 minute job.

His neighbor 4 doors down (that I have had for 3 years now) only pays £12 per clean but I am only there for 10 minutes. (this is of cause faster as it is a maintenance clean and the other I always treat as a first clean just to be sure)

I havent been to see it yet, I'm going later. How can you tell if it self cleaning glass?

Oh by the way, I got the job in the original post of this thread - £35 6 weekly

Nice one on the other job. Ratify whether it's self cleaning with the customer, also it usually has a tint to it. Don't use strong chems if it is self cleaning.

Right then guys, next one. Hope you dont mind playing along, it really does help give me an idea what to price.
How much for this conservatory:

I have done a few like that, my charge would be £150.00 external valet, including gutter vac, internal valtet £100.00.

Is that just for the conservatory @Trev81 ? I would be a bit nervous asking for that much around here!
I wouldn't say £150 is expensive, they invested 15k plus on that so asking for 1% to fully valet it back to near new condition aint bad, have you cleaned many before? They take longer than you think to do a 'proper job' I did one slightly bigger than that one last week with my mrs who does the insides and we were done in 6 hours, with 30 mins for lunch. I guess a quick wipe over might take a hour or so but ask the customer what there expectations are.. Then price on what they require.
