Hi Guys New Here And New To Window Cleaning

Hello reach for the glass, I'm new on here too and a fellow Firey. I do Trad and only been doing it for 3 weeks now, used to work for someone who did WFP but with kids coming along And now at school and nursery I've got time on my hands to do my own thing, no harm in wanting to make an extra buck or two.

i work when I can mate. currently only have 15 houses for windows each month, so they can be done in a day if need be. My son goes to nursery from 8.45 until 11.45 so I can get stuff done then, and the Mrs is off on a Thursday/Friday, so can work then also. Trying to build the run up, quite a few straggler houses just now but I'm still establishing myself, would have help if I hadn't put the wrong bloody email address on my business cards! did a . instead of an @

Yea 15 more than me fella.

I need to actually make the move and commit to doing it. I talk a great great game but sometimes can't see beyond the idea of what I want. As I say 90 customers ill be happy. Just can't imagine getting them. And in what amount of time it would. I would think over a year?

It's strange the more work you have the less time you have to look for more but more seems to find you due to exposure and recommendations

Get your first 50 and it will suddenly start to snowball if you put the effort in

I did a new clean including conservatory roof this afternoon from a recommendation. .she wants regular and now so do the 3 houses opposite who she was chatting to one of them on the school run

4 jobs and not looked for any of them

What did you charge for them daveyboy? Juat wondering if your getting work on price or just your natural charm ;-)

Amount of cleans per day variesIf you get your pricing right it is a hell of a lot easier to get a good wage

I did 8 jobs today and wife had taken all my cash to pay in the bank this morning

This is from today lol

Did first job at 10 and just got in

Mind you it was a very good day

When the weather is bad..you're cold and damp and had enough days like this spur you on
Sorry Davey but I have to pull you up about your photo of your money. I always have to have my notes all facing the same way up /emoticons/biggrin.png. I'm a bit ocd like that

They are all average 3 bed

2 up 1 down front and same at back

£12 each

Want my waist size, wifes maiden name and blood type now??/emoticons/tongue.png

I gave myself a target of 25 in 2 months, 50 in 6 months and 100 by end of the year, that's my goal. 100 custys and that would be my limit for the time I have.

It's good to set a target as then it's down to you to shift your **** and work towards it.

If you are going for 25 in 2 months you need to aim for 75 in 6 months

It will get easier the more you get

Cheers daveyboy but just your credit card details will do fine /emoticons/tongue.png

They seem like reasonable prices. You just seem to get a ridiculous amount of recommendations and referrals, just wondering hoe you get so many

I usually get a steady stream of a couple per week

2 weeks ago i managed to find an area (an estate of nice roads) on the outskirts of town where 2 of the local windies have gone awol..1 guy i know who has gone into gutter work and pressure washing etc and can't be bothered with the windows

The other is a father and son crew who have been awol for over 4 months and not answering phone calls hence why i got 17 jobs in 1 road from customers who haven't had their windows done for 5 months or more

They are in stevenage but they are on the edge and like to be seen as seperate..they are herts county council for their council tax and bins not stevenage council which means they pay more than us lol

The main help is the woman who keeps recommending me runs the local community Facebook group and i clean her windows plus she is a landlady and i do 2 of her tennants houses plus her friends who live in her old house which lead to their sister who is opposite and her mum and dad in the next road plus her boyfriends house down the road etc..it goes on and on

It is luck..timing..and finding 1 good customer who can open a few doors

The best thing about this estate is it is built behind the industrial area where the company i get my water from is

If i am doing a lot of first cleans etc i can be there to refill in under 2 minutes..can't complain about that

If you was to post on any of the local facebook groups that you are looking for a window cleaner you will instantly get my link posted by a handfull of very loyal customers who seem to live on their and a good recommendation

Facebook is very usefull in a small town

I don't post my link with an advert any more but i find those who post looking for a windie don't mess you about as they are doing the looking rather than me doing the asking
