Got a text from a long standing customer today 'we are cutting back on household bills blah blah blah' It then dawned on me which house it was. Listen to this, God knows why I stuck it so long, but this is what I did for 10 quid. Parked van in country lane, reeled hose out 25m to do 1 bedroom and 1 front room, reel hose in, don wellies, get ladders off, don trad gear, put ladder over a field gate, hop over gate with bucket, trudge 50m to rear of property, trad rear of house while moving ladders 3 times, climb onto a gulley and clean bedroom window, climb back down while kneeling on tiles so as not to slip on tiles while trying to find the ladder, trudge back 50m through field, put ladder over gate, hop over gate, put ladders back on the rack, put trad gear in the back, change my footwear, get in van and light a smoke  I really need to have a good sort out don't I

That is a classic, tuffers.

Whats the bet she is calling you in a few months time when she realises she can't find a cheaper windy thats willing to do it for a fiver.

Hubby is going to do it /emoticons/biggrin.png good luck to him  To be fair I was thinking of f00kin it off, but I felt I would be letting her down if I did. I'll have to send her a thank you card

He'll do it once, or maybe twice and realise its hard work, she'll nag him about the smears, and 6monthly frequency, they'll buy a karcher vac, they'll use it once, then sell it, and then, and only then....will they call you./emoticons/biggrin.png

Brilliant, similar to a recent situation I've had... Got a massive cottage, only house in that road I do...elderly couple, asked me to change from six to eight weeks, I said no problem...every time I call "has it been six weeks already"? "No, it's been ten weeks because you asked me to come every eight and I'm two weeks behind"...I'm getting bored with hearing the accusation, as if I'm trying to clean too often in order to rip them off...last time I cleaned they asked me to come back in the spring, "yeah, that's fine" I said...they've got no chance.

its a weired situation, we all seem to have customers that we know are too cheap yet we struggle to get rid of them or even put the prices up lmao ... deffo not good business sense, just being human i reckon

I hate that - ' you've only just been ' er no ... It's been 7 weeks actually

Last week did initial clean after big extension - really covered in debris from builders -£40 ( normally £17 )

She was not happy

Why spend 40 k then worry about £40 clean up
