Builders cleans

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I did about 20 houses in a stretch once when i was subbing..not a quick job and not enjoyable..not a 1 day job either..especially on an hourly rate

id not ever do a builders clean now ,not for any money

i got stiffed by a builder after doing a nightmare gutter clean on the builders H.Q.

few weeks later a second builder asked me to quote the windows on a big hospital conversion into flats - after getting stiffed by the first lot i looked closely at the contract form they wanted me to agree to sign-glad i did, i would have been jumping thru hoops to get my money.

no money is enough for the potential hazards in my opinion. guaranteed if you work for enough builders you WILL eventually get burned and it will be big money

i also rode my luck with another builder few yrs ago. theyd built a small development of ten luxury homes and i agreed to do the construction clean up with my lads . Did the first 6 no worries then start on number 7 - after the first wipe we spotted that every and i mean every window had scraper scratches on them. somebody amongst the builders must have done it,probably removing mortar with a rusty blade ?

Anyhow if you didnt look close you might miss seeing the scratches [i did] and luckily the builder boss did-or i could have easily been blamed - think how much id have had to pay out , gawwwwwd i was so lucky
