Fresh cleans. Can't stop spotting please help

i had a couple of window that always spotted, well dripped so i gave the rubbers a good going over with virosol & never had a problem since

 
Every time I get a new customer I always say you "might" get spotting or the odd run first clean, this should be gone on the second.

Everyone is fine with that.

 
I wasn't sure about it as it says orange oil and i assumed that would mean smears but it says good for upvc and I've done my downstairs windows so i can watch them dry and fine so far with just a little water left to dry

"An Important Note From Your Window Cleaner"We are in the process of switching to a new method of cleaning your upstairs windows. This method will soon be the industry standard for window cleaning at height. As a Business wanting to be at the forefront of our industry, we have decided to invest in this technology which involves the use of telescopic poles and 100% pure water, which we filter through state of the art reverse-osmosis filters and de-ionisation vessels.We are embracing this technology for a number of reasons(1) Health and safety. Legislation being brought into effect will limit the use of ladders as temporary workstations. The law as we understand it, now states that ladders should only be used when all viable alternatives have been considered. As a company, we have decided that water-fed pole systems are a safer viable alternative and are worth the investment. If the job can be completed to the same high standard without standing on a ladder, then we have an obligation to embrace this method. (2) Better cleaning results. Firstly, it cleans the windows and the frames. Second, the major advantage of pure water is its capacity to absorb large amounts of dirt from your windows. This process involves brushing and rinsing your windows clean with pure water and allowing them to dry naturally to a streak free shine. This occurs due to the pure nature of the water used.(3) Environmentally friendly. Pure water only is used, eliminating the need for any detergents and chemicals except where greasy dirt is a problem.(4) Reduced disturbance & Increased privacy. No more dents in your lawn and unexpected appearances of faces at windows. (5) We may now be able to reach previously inaccessible aspects of your property. Conservatory roofs, windows above conservatory’s etc. that we had previously been unable to clean.(6) Water-fed pole cleaning works in the rain! Although we will not work in severe weather, showery misty weather will no longer hinder our work. This will help us to ensure a more regular and professional service to all of our customers.Please note that it can take up to two or three visits for the process to `leach` all deposits from around the frames, resulting in an improved finish each time. I have one window, and only one, that I cannot do with my pole. It's a large window with two openers at the top. Somehow, when I do the top openers the water gets inside the frame somewhere and then starts to run down the centre of the large pane below. This leaves a load of **** in its wake so it's not worth bothering with. I just squeegee it now!!!

And I do 500 jobs a month!!!!!

:thumbs:I'll give you a tip can't see the point of joining the forum if methods are top secret. Dip your brush in a mix of 50% Virosol and water, do all frames first then do the windows it gets all the cr@p off and rinses away lovely and leaves no residue works well for us.:thumbs:

 
Virosol or ubik iis my favourite stuff to use

Have run out at the mo so using the citrus multi surface cleaner on my link which works a bit the same as virosol. .i think it's the pure orange oil in it that does the trick..virosol is mainly citrus..amazing how strong it is

im new to it too so still learning. iv been lucky to have no complaints so far but i do give every customer a letter explaining the proccess and possible spotting or runs for first 2 to 3 cleans. do you scrub left to right where the glass meets the top frame. or are they vented windows.

Yeh I scrub left to right really well at the top do you have a copy of your letter at all ? That would be really helpful. And do you use fan or pencil jets ?

My dad is a mobile car valeter and he's uses a citrus based multipurpose cleaner would that be safe to use ? and do you need to clean the brush thoroughly before the final clean

 
Virosol is a citrus based multi purpose cleaner and degreaser also

Don't clean the brush as you rinse it off the glass anyway..plus your brush will still have a bit of a boost left on it for a few more windows which is a bonus

No because you can rinse with brush away from the glass

 
I just ordered another 10l of virosol

Was going for ubik but got a good deal on amazon

£19.90 for 10l including postage

Cleaning websites it was coming to nearly 7 quid then vat then 6 quid postage for 1

Got a few jobs i will need it for beginning of November

 
I feel lost without it as i ran out a few weeks ago and don't like being without it for first cleans

 
I like to do it like green in a spray bottle so you can keep it on you for ease of use rather than dragging a bucket around
