45/50 on maintenance cleans, 70 ish on first cleans, 2mm pencil jets.

I'll try increasing my flow next week see if it speeds me up as I certainly need to  I'm going all out next week to try and clean quicker, I know I'm over thorough so I'm actively going to speed up i.e only two passes over the glass rather than the 4-8 I usually do /emoticons/biggrin.png as someone said once before on here " its all a state of mind really". I've been going for 11months now and seem to be doing really well just over 300 regular customers but I just can't seem to snap myself out off treating every clean like a first clean  and I know not only is it inhibiting my daily earning potential its also hindering me growing my round.

Maintenance cleans 2 passes is plenty

Quick rinse and job done

I've been wfp for 4 months now and have played around to see which is the quickest but still effective way for me to do it..i reckon i have it sussed now as i can fly round nowadays

I am over rinsing because i am new but i use 250 to 300 litres for a half day thats about 20 houses and my missus working trad on bottoms. she cant keep up so i do a lot of the bottoms too with pole thats with a 30 flow and 2mm jets. but from my limited knowledge id say its far better to over rinse than under rinse. mind you these are all new build houses with building work still going on so very dusty work

Hi Davieboy,

Could I ask exactly what you mean when you say that "2 passes are plenty" on maintenance cleans. Are you referring to the amount of horizontal strokes across the window as you work down from top to bottom?

Thankyou

Yes..if you start on the left scrub up and down working across to the right then repeat..2 passes..no need to scrub any more than that

And if greens 500litres is lasting him between 50-65 jobs @Tuffers tjen were in the same ball park zone... As mine works out around the same
So it's not just me, perhaps some of you guys are standing at the window day dreaming while you rinse?! /emoticons/biggrin.png
HI Jake and anyone else

I use a variflow controller and have set at 3 which suits me will I still be ok with the 3mm jets or should I stick with 2mm ? cheers

Hi Daveyboy,

I misunderstood and thought you were referring to rinsing off but thanks for the reply.

Not sure Paul, depends how much flow you have, you need high ish flow with 3mm jets, my controller is on 75 out of 100, so 3/4 speed... If you have the standard shirflo pump, then 3mm jets will always be fine with the pump at around 3/4 speed

Haven't even thought about it sorry,

What was it you wanted to see again? Will do it tomorrow

I would do a vid of a whole house clean but a 2 min vid is a bit short isn't it??

Must admit that I'm using fan jets at the moment. They are gardiners ones, but to be honest they don't really spread well unless the the water flow is turned up high.

If the flow is low then they are close to pencil jets.

I'm still expeimenting with different flows etc. but it seems the faster flow means quicker rinsing, possibley more water used but qucker job.

I'm using trolley system at the moment, but will upgrade to a van. I think those using trolley can probably tell the difference in water usage more easily than those with van tanks, simply because they see there water going down as opposed to those in van who can't see until later on.

@Mwwindowcleaning

Sorry forgot to do vid, bit tricky as I've got no one to hold camera/phone whilst working, I'll try and balance it somewhere tomorrow when no ones in!
