Hi mate it should be covered by warranty

Do not take no for answer they will try it on

I used to be in this trade

Ask see manager and state not fit for purpose no gearbox should go after that mileage

Most 12 month warrantys will cover it but they may say wear and tear

Tell them you will got to Vauxhall UK

They are fully aware there is issues with the gearboxes in these vehicles

Is the finance with Vauxhall?or a loan?

Is this a new vehicle Tenchy?

If so and gone wrong in just 10 months it is a warranty issue and if they claim otherwise look up the goods and services act and threaten the with that as they have sold a vehicle 'not fit for purpose'

I bought a second hand laguna last year 2007 from a used dealer for £1300.

A month later something big went wrong and the bill was £550. He tried every excuse I threatened him with goods and services and I finally accepted him paying £450 towards the total cost so I does work.

There are lots of consumer laws we do not use enough even on second hand stuff. I suggest if need be consult the Citizens Advice if the garage won't play ball.

Good luck mate.

If the vehicle finance is through Vauxhall mate you've got something

U need to contact them and tell them what's happened there is a loophole and you can get out the arrangement but little call to them and your van will be fixed

I have a Vauxhall combo lwb just over 3 years old and the gear box already feels like it's about to start giving me problems.

A family member of mine has one as well and it has had all manner of problems spent more time back at Vauxhall than it has out working.

blady hell @Damo urs was brand new wernt it and uve not hed it long seems these news vans gear boxes arnt up to the job my next van will b a toyota haice guna get a clean one with fsh and just run it in the ground sod it

one things for sure the main dealer will know about the problem if its a common one.theyll also know how to get it fixed cheaply [for their own secondhand stock] possibly subbing rebuilds out to a local rebuilder of gearboxes .

Hi lee.
Was the old transit. Not my new one.
