Anyone use a tap for their pole hose attached to the pole?

I have seen wagga do it and heard of others doing it

Now i have my hose on the inside to try it for a week i was thinking of trying it

The guy i get my water from reckons the loop that is created will tangle and twist too much

I am fed up with looking around to find the tap to shut the water off so fancy that idea

Anyone??

hi mate have you considered a tap located on brush head very near to you and if need to stop flow just drop pole in seconds also can turn on and extend to second storey windows really fast with minimal water waste been doing this way for three years no probs whatsoever

havent been on here in a while do lurk regular but got lazy fingers lol

I have a metal tap with rectus fitting already which would be too big and heavy to put near the brush

Good idea though

the tap ive got is very light mate and small i think its a gardiners standard thing not very clued up technichally as you can probably tell lol

I use gardiner taps on my poles and hold the hose so the tap rests near the back of my hand there is a lot more freedom when opening and extending the pole.

If you look on the gardiner site there's a video.

Never liked the idea of a tap fixed to the pole myself.

My pole hose runs inside the pole I use the gardiner taps. The tap is connected about a 1/3rd from the end of hose I then hold hose with tap hanging by my hand.
yeah see what you mean now might try that myself

Quick question.

I got the gardiner slx 25 and want to put a tap by brush head. What size is the hose is it 6mm ?

I have cable tied it to the bottom of my pole to give it a try

It has the rectus fitting so i can disconnect the pole from the reel easily

Just gotta get used to having a loop out the end of the pole

Do it like mine Davey, no need for a loop, just kink as you do and turn off tap when you need to.

i use a gardiners tap, new one, stronger than the last one, just under my brush,at the end of my pole. just push the pole hose onto it, then add the brush hose on other end.

to turn water off i just drop pole section, and pole comes down to turn off.

you get quicker with practice, also one on my reel, heavy duty one for reel. when i disconect pole hose from reel i turn flow off on reel

yeah johnny bravo very simple but effective its surprising how fast you get at extending and dropping pole not much wasted water at all
