Just Starting Out

Hi Guys,

I'm Just Starting Out As A Window Cleaner, Any Help / Advice Would Be Very Much Appreciated. I Have Been Out Canvasing And Built Up A Decent Starting Round. The Problem Is I Don't Know Much About Window Cleaning. I'm Thinking About Buying A Water Fed Pole And Looking To Spend £600 - £700 Max. Just Wondered If Anyone Can Recommend A Good System For Me To Start Off With For Around This Price Range. Some Of The Houses I Have Secured Haven't Got Outside Taps, So I Would Need One That Does Not Run Off A Tap.

Any Help / Info Is Much Appreciated

Thanks In Advance.

A tap?

You need to do a bit of research buddy. There's some great info on here. Look at how to start a buiseness and wfp equipment.

What size round you built up?

You got a car or van?

What area are you in?

It's only the yanks and oz's that would use customers taps,

Here we almost all use van systems and trolley systems with your own pure water on board

Saying that, I do get a lot of customers tell me to help myself to their tap water. I'm like, no thank you, I'll use my pure water in the van lol

Me too! New customers always say 'there's a tap round the back'

I'm think in my head -

'yeah I wish it was pure, cos if it was your water bill would be £1000 this month, as I'll be sitting here filling up tanks of the stuff'

But no it's 500ppm

Yeah I don't have RO. I'm quite happy using DI for now. I will eventually get myself a second vessel. But I don't see the point in getting RO right now.

Yes Ive had a quick browse on here and it has made me realise how much I don't know. I've got an estate car. Probably got about 60-70 customers lined up at the moment. I know it's not a lot but it's enough to make a start im hoping

That's a good amount to start with definitely. I started from scratch. This forum is brilliant. People with years experience. I have learnt a lot over 8 months from this forum. You'll get there, maybe slowly but definitely surely. I hope you do well mate [emoji4]

For top technical advise, Varitech are second to none. Not as cheap as some others, but they pick the phone up (not answer machines) straight away. Ask for rod or mike

60 - 70 customers as a starting point is a great start if you've priced it right. We'll done. Bags of info.on here.use the search and don't be afraid to ask. The one piece of advice that's always stuck with me is price it right and stick to it. Even if you don't get the work....... anyone can be a busy fool.

Hope it all work for you
