@Tuffers

I bought the roller guide from gardiners mate, fitted it yesterday in the floor of the van, just waiting for a second roller guide to turn up from another company - to put near the bumper (to stop the hose rubbing)

Will let you know how it works out,

Was a bit daunting making a hole in the van floor!!! But it looks good, and means I can now work with the doors shut and locked, like our resident obsessor Damo,

:thumbsup:

Nice, got any pics? How is it going to work, are you going to thread your hose back and forth through it? What about if water gets in the van?

Yeah thread hose through at start of day, store poles on roof, so literally don't need to open the door to start work, only need to open the door to reel it in..

I need an electric hose reel with a remote, so I don't even need to open the door to wind it in, but I can't find one! Jordan King was supposed to do one with the remote, but i can't find it on his website...

Water shouldn't go in, as its away from the wheels, and is only a 2 1/2 Inch hole

Thinking of making little cover for it though, but only if I get any water ingress

What about your connectors, are they left dangling when driving about?

The hose is reeled in so the pole hose is tight to the van, all that's left is the thin pole hose up to the pole on the roof, but it's pulled tight, so no flapping about

Gotcha. This is my pole/reel hose, not sure how I'd get round this if I got a roller guide. I think I would knock a hole out of the back door and do it that way.

That rubber disc will need squeezing through the gap everytime I feed it through; suppose I could let it hang out all day so to speak :rofl:

EZ-Snap, same thing. Do you not protect it at all? Protecta ball?
Used to, not bothered for last 6months and had no problems, I found the protector balls got caught too much when working,

I'm thinking of getting 6mm microbore and using JG push fit fittings though, just cos there cheap and easy

Fast forward to 3 mins,

Thinking of doing what this bloke does and using JG fittings
