A tubeless pole idea...

WCF

Help Support WCF:

For example if your first section is 3 foot long i have the hose 3 foot and 6 inches long threaded internally

Then put connector on

When pole is collapsed the connector just sticks out the end

Connect it to the rest of your hose and extend.first section a few inches and the connector is now inside the 2nd section so when you extend the rest of the pole the connection slides up the 2nd section so is already past anything it can snag on and is always 3 foot 6 inches long

If that makes sense

Iv ordered the JG connections the other week to do this but poles apart has made a good point that iv never thought of, surely he's right in what he's saying?

The top? It won't hit anything once it's in the first section, as its stays inside the first section even when extending...

If it is hanging 2 inches out of the first section collapsed it will still be 2 inches out of the first section when extended so won't change length

I can see where @Poles Apart is coming from. If the JG is hanging out of the base section when collapsed then it has to travel past all the other sections to get the pole fully raised and possibly catching on the base of every section on the way up. If the JG was not hangining out of the base section it wouldn't have to travel past all the bases of the other sections of the pole.

Ues tuffers but by carefully raising the top section a few inches once you connect it and leaving it like that when collapsed it has passed all the sections already and you can use like normal

Yes this is the idea

Well to give them credit it works:thumbsup:Done a pole today but I took the aquadapter into account so cut it 10 inch after the pole the only problem is the JG catches the base section on entry but it's no big deal just push it in, once in it doesn't catch any section and comes out when collapsed might be an idea to not fully collapse the pole then that won't happen. Still can't work out the mathematics as to why the JG doesn't go to the top of the pole:eek:I thought of doing this months ago with EZ snaps because I work with backpacks only it would be better for me so I could connect my 15 metre hoses together in the van and have no tangling or leaks but EZ snaps will just catch.

Try having 4 poles in the van, all with loads of pole hose to coil up! Horrible!
With the tubeless idea, all the poles will only have about 6 inches of pole hose, so it will be soooooo much tidier!
4 poles ??? you need to get out more lol we just carry two each on all our vans slx25s as daily poles and ex47s for the higher stuff

I am doing it on mine with an ez snap/rectus 21 fitting..whatever you want to call it

I have the male on the pole hose in the first section and the female on the big hose

Same as the jg fitting as long as you push it in carefully at first it doesn't catch at all

I always leave the first section slightly extended so it stays inside the end of the pole when not in use until i am ready to disconnect

I'll try that tomorrow on another pole I use Sureclean high pressure pole hose as my main hose so should work fine.

If you check out the link to jimmyboots thread on page 1 of this thread he has pics on there

Here's a Diagram I made to show how it can't snag when in the pole  I have had no problems in over a year. Plus it works great with AquaTap. See this thread again

I was gonna put some padding round the connector end like yours Jimmy but I've used it all day with no issues without it

Lol Berlingo maxed out! The mini pole is a sawn off CLX with 2 sections that are 2 and a half feet long excellent for limited access and ground floor flats and Bungees and super quick the only hose I use is Sureclean high pressure pole hose it works better with Aquadapters than Aquadapter hose as Aquadapter hose is too rigid. I have one 15 metre length and one 10 metre length.
