Wagtail Question

No problems. I used to use the Erk tip (lost faith they all break) the older Wagtail angle arm and now use a Gardiner adjustable angle arm. When I first straightened the handle it took a little bit of adjustment but I found if you move a touch further away from the glass the angle of blade to glass dials in again.

i always carry a couple of the angle arms in my van, very useful especially to reach into deep sills on a pole . lifesaver really

believe if you applied heat here you could bend this into becoming an erkonomic tip . the plastic is the correct strong type

whereas the erkonomic is made from brittle plastic View attachment 5667

so if i was useing say a 12 ft pole with a 7inch angle adapter (brownsBRANDnz) would i still be best to still use the wagtail angle arm on end of angle adapter or does the angle adapter do the job on its own?

I use a harris decorators pole with unger adjustable angle arm on it

Have had no need to use any other attachments

Eric is correct about the wagtail angle once modified

Just means taking a couple of steps backwards more like a wfp stance

It closes out better too i think with the 20° angle

beauty of the angle adapter on its own is its lightweight . and another advantage of the adapter on its own you can reverse the angle quickly which is handy if you are reaching over something like bushes and want to still close out cleanly

From Top: Erk tip...excellent but brittle, I can't seem to get more than a few months out of them. They sit in my shed now...Wagtail Angle arm. More pronounced angle but very durable. I like it for 8 feet and under but you do have to be well away from the glass. ...note the next one where I made it shorter. I use this one especially for my Wagulater. It shortens the distance from blade to the angle. Gives better control. ... A Gardiner tool made exclusively for Peter Erken at Window Cleaning World in Sydney. Replicates precisely the Erk tip but with the added advantage of altering to whatever angle is required. I've epoxied it into a piece of CF and can use it on its own or in any of my Reach-It poles. The short one is a small camera pole. The other is the camera pro pole (8ft) and I can also use it in my 25ft Mini... Very versatile.

Looking into this Eric, as mine are Wagulators.

Regarding the video he has now made it so you can only use one way don't think he gets it?Believe the only way to go is use an angle adapter on your poles.

This way adjust to any angle that works for you.

Not trying to work around a fixed angle.

Also the plus is can use any pole weather it is used for a WFP or trad using squeegee, 'scrubber scrapers etc.

We have adapted all our tools to fit Quick Lock Adapter system ( Quick- LoQ or Wiel-Lock)
As he has it in the first minute of the video is perfect for store front up to about 8 feet as long as you have the space to move back from the glass. The action with a flipper or combi is very smooth. I do prefer the Gardiner one that is in my pic above. Being adjustable gives you real flexibility.
