just picked up my 2nd customer today and another recently . The had a windie that did a sloppy work with the wfp. Of course they had been sceptic now , but i told Them that its a matter of practice and good frame cleaning that makes the difference .

Do you guys picks up from sloppy wfp, ers?

I've picked up a few as they had tried WFP and weren't sold on it , they prefer the traditional method.( they are older customers).

So you went back tradding on them or did you show them some true wfp work ?/emoticons/smile.png

I started traditional and have only had a backpack and pole for a couple of weeks, but they are still reluctant after previous experiences.

Over time I will try and convert them!

Sound good mate ! When they see how it looks done properly, they will love it /emoticons/smile.png Good luck converting!

Seem to be getting more and more people approaching and asking 'oh is that the method that does the frames as well?' Then asking for a quotation, which is a pain as I don't want any more

No need to convert them over time

I just started cleaning them wfp when i made the switch

If anyone was in i would say "i know it seems weird leaving the glass wet but it's pure water..blah blah..if you get any marks on the glass from where i have washed all the dirt out from above and round your frames give me a shout and I'll go over it when I'm passing"

As i do all first cleans with virosol which strips all the muck and soap out of the rubbers etc i get no spotting and no phone calls

They are so happy with the results no need to say anything else

The ones who aren't in if they happen to be home 1 day and say anything i just say I've been doing it like this for ages

I have 1 old lady who won't have it but i knew that when i took her on but everyone else is wfp with no problems

What percentage of Virosol to water do you use? I'm just dipping the brush in it now.

I use about an inch in a normal household spray bottle from bathroom cleaner etc that i keep when empty and wash out as always handy to have

Then top up with water

That's plenty strong enough

There is a major issue where wfp has had its reputation ruined by some company's.i had a discussion with a bloke who didn't like it. He's never had it done himself just what he's heard.but my point of veiw with him was that if someone does a bad job with a squeegee customers blame the cleaner. If you do a bad job with a pole they blame the pole. Why? Because they know a good job can be achieved with a squeegee has its been done for decades and is their norm. Because pole is new to them and they don't understand it they just blame the pole and not the cleaner. But in both cases a bad job is always the cleaners fault.

Agree Davey ! No need to hide your good tools , and I exp. that the more casual I am about the pole and give good info , the more relaxed and secure my customers will be . The other day a custy I've just picked up told me that she was really exited about wfp, cos her mom got her windows cleaned by that method. That's a great start ! /emoticons/biggrin.png

I get customer who got rid of the last window cleaner with wfp and don't mention it so when I pull the wfp out they start throwing a hissy fit come out with all sorts spotting / streaking etc excuses so I say can you let me use the wfp won't take payment now and il come back tomarrow and collect payment or redo Windows traditional if it's not right and not one customer has refused to pay , we get a lot of splash and dashes around here but like I say to them why would I want to clean these windows twice . Waste of my time and yours I have good confidence in my set up

I have a cu
