A tubeless pole idea...

WCF

Help Support WCF:

this is how we run all of ours for the last four years without any issues up to around 5 storeys

6 storeys and above you then notice the weight of the reel hose 0n the pole so ive done a few diffent lengths of tails over the last two years and found that if I leave 10 foot only on my ex47 (top two parts of the pole) it stops all this and is a fair trade off

once stev gets his finger out and I can get rid of the a.d. on them ill be cutting the longer tails down to 5 foot

Tried my pole today with JG fitting for a commercial job, went to extend the pole and the hose came out , stuck it back in and obviously didn't put it in front enough so it had a slight leak and tried to stick it, 10 mins later my feet were soaking. So pulled it back out pushed it back in and was ok for the rest off the job

Cost me 30 pence per pole to convert. Tried eeze snap for a week but now using JG type fitting it doesn't catch on the pole either. I only use backpacks so your set up maybe different but if I unclick the eezi snap at the backpack end it makes disconnecting the JG from the pole easy as the water pressure is released. These connectors are made by Wrekin Pneumatics they are better than the standard black ones I got a bag of 10 off ebay for £3.00. Just extend the pole to where the JG meets the bottom hold your pole vertical so the hose is straight then extend very slowly til the JG enters the pole, works a treat.View attachment 5978

But I leave it in the pole, so the pole

Is always about 3 inches from fully collapsed, this video

Was just to show how bad it catches if you don't do that

Yeah I don't normally collapse fully but sometimes if space is tight on a job I do but it's still easy to collapse when you jiggle the pole a bit it's a knack.

Yeah that's it, a little wiggle and it pops in !
Absolutely, this is my next move: I'm going to replace the pole hose with 4mm ID hose then put a reducer on to go to my main hose which is 5mm ID this will mean that where the connector enters the pole that end of the connector will be thinner therefore making entrance into the pole even easier. I've got a bag of these connectors and enough 4mm hose to do 2 poles.View attachment 5981

That blue hose is silicone.

Sounds good,

I wouldn't want to use such thin hose as I use 3mm jets, but good idea for you

Went from JG fittings as they leaked on me to rectus fitting and finding it a bit slow as when I extend sometimes it catches and it comes off /emoticons/sad.png
