Seen as you are only 10-15 mins away from me and what i know of the area you will find prices form about £4. I have a couple of customer in that area one is a 3 bed semi with conny i charge her £14 on a 4 weekly the other is a 4 bed detached she pays £16 on an 8 weekly.

Theres my quotes for you anyway

goodluck.

When I started pricing a couple if years ago I used to work on the basis of £1 per window (regardless of size). Now I'm pretty full up I stick to a similar formular but add extra if there are extra openers, if the glass is bigger than normal I put extra on, I consider access a bit better and add on if needed and once I've counted everything up I add on an extra couple of quid for good measure.

So you are saying you are 17?? Is that right??
I guess the easiest way for you to understand pricing and your 'market rates' is to call 2 or 3 local window cleaners from the yellow pages, or local newspaper (I use these sources as if they spend on advertising there is a chance they are more established) and have them come out and give a quote for your mums home, also if you can your nans house, and perhaps another uncle or auntie if possible if they have a different type of house.

So hopefully by now you should have quotes on three different houses by 3 different window cleaners in your area so you have a great base for deducting what the typical market pricing structure should be.
to be honest I wouldn't purposefully mislead another window cleaner into thinking he may have more work. bad morals. simply charge what you think your service is worth. I base my prices on location. style. height. number and time taken to clean. I know how much I want to earn per hour and think how much of the hour would it take. eg. if I want to earn 40 per hour and the house is going to take ten mins I will charge 10 taking into consideration the travel to the next house after ive cleaned.

Great advice
LS17 ? I work Bramhope

There's some high end clients round your way ( Harewood House be a good job Ha Ha )

Good luck mate

Pricing comes with experience I suppose, takes a little while but most of the time you can just estimate how long it will take you to do the job, and how much you wanne earn hourly, whether the job is easy to do or not, and depends on what neightborhood the house is, what car they drive.. well thats just what I do.. I might be overthinking it too much, but its working.
