ok all you wfp guys, I picked up a new customer today who had just sacked off her wfp guy because he cleaned Windows and door in a an open porch leaving a pool of water on the threshold. Surely this isn't best practise but blatant poor workmanship. So how do you all tackle Windows in open porches.

yeh just trad them it is pain doing nice big house then letting yourself down badly by leaving water on porches and entrances

there only wanting there windows cleaned, they dont want to go padlinging in your pools of water

Understand Trad the glass, but what do you guys do regarding the actual door and frame? Do you just give it a wipe over?

Generally stand there thinking "does the weather come into this porch?" If it doesn't , grab a squeegee.

depends of the glass , is it frosted or not , if frosted I wipe them all down with the damp cloth ive just wiped there sills with if not then turn flow down clean glass only , wipe the full door and frame , quick mop up with the same damp cloth so no puddle ,

I keep half a scrim tucked in the back of my belt. When I get a door in a porch, I dab the scrim on my brush and clean them that way

A true old school professional, ever thought of upgrading to microfibre?

I have a small hand held plant sprayer, filled with water/fairy solution. That I keep ready in the van. Once the pole work is complete I grab a scrim, the sprayer and a Squeegee, for such situations.

How come you don't just use an applicator?

small micro fibers from pound shop, dry, they remove all the dirty dust, also when damp will remove stubborn marks od upvc doors and frames, scrim will rub the marks deeper into the white upvc.
