30 plus per day would take the enjoyment out of it for me, doable solo.. but I don't need it.

But if thats 2 men then pretty steady I'd think.

Yeah was pretty steady going today. Nothing particular hard. Rain was **** though, i wanted to go home but Dave made me work through it.

Interesting.
I timed me and @daveyboy1 today. He did a 3 bed detached in 8 minutes and i did a 4 bed detached in 8 minutes.

From arrival to driving away it was 11 minutes for two houses.

All frames,sills,doors and glass done.

Left gleaming.
the fellas I saw doing my neighbor over did a :turd: job and she sacked them off.

I going to time myself but I recon my best times are circa 15 - 20 mins on a 3 bed semi. as you boys are going so much quicker I suspect you must have a much efficient set in the back of your van than me and maybe 20 years younger  I could probably learn a thing or two from watching they way you work! do you fancy posting a video??

Sometimes you walk up to the house and the windows are pretty clean still, you know the frames are user friendly and that water sheets. Do you really need more than 30 seconds a window?

I'm a new window cleaner been doing it 2 years have my own business water fed pole and trad. Have about two full days of work a week. The rest of the time I work with a traditional window cleaner. He has no public liability and dose a shocking job, and charges very hight prices makes up to £400 a day befor paying me. He dosent clean frames or sills and dose no retailing at all. He leaves soupy drips on most of the Windows. Lead Windows he dose a shocking job he dose the inside I do the outside. you can see the shrieks left behind. One of the last days I worked with him befor Christmas he managed to push the triple ladder under a sill on a sash window, dislodging a massive peace of Cotswold stone that landed inches from me at the bottom of the ladder. His customers love him it's crazy I could do a much better job on my own. But I have had the odd customer say you do a better job then him so that's good but they don't know I run my own business along side.

Hi ya mate @Jason Pitt  How come you've been working for yourself for two years but only have around two full days of work a week using WFP and then work for someone else Trad?

Yea I would also Luv to see a video, keep reading a lot of coments ref the 20/30 a day cleans and would be interested to see the technique used? I'm getting faster but still struggle to get 15 done on a really really good day.

I can do around 20 average jobs max on my own but the 31+ a commercial Damo was talking about was both of us together and some bigger than average houses

I have come to the conclusion that 2 people in 1 van definitely isn't twice as fast as 1 person due to the fact when 1 person is done on 1 house the other isn't due to conservatory etc so 1 is waiting while the other is across the road still etc

Still good but not as fast as you would like from 2 people

I do enjoy the change though

How long you been doing it @Greener ??

I was trad 25 years and now wfp 5-6 months

Working with someone like @Damo is a good way to get faster..not a case of teaching how to clean but more learning where you scrub too much or spend too long rinsing which we tend to do when new to it

The best advice i can give is to try scrubbing less (2 passes with the brush max) and rinse less (only need enough of a rinse to see the water run from top to bottom) and experiment to see what works best for you

Try maybe your own windows or a friend with dirty windows and do it differently on each window to see what works

Also every house is different and you get to know the customers with problem windows etc and which ones clean easy

How long yoh been doimg it @daveyboy1, it was my one year anniversary on Tuesday, I think I'm doing pretty good got just over 280 regular customers and around 30 as and when's. Being on the glass is a full time job for me and I'm gaining new business on a weekly basis but to be honest I do struggle to keep to my schedule, I know I need to get faster as I want to expanded my round. Just a few months back I was only managing to get around 8 cleans done between 9-3pm I've now got it up to around 15 cleans on a good day and to be honest I'm Fooked by the end off it, I know I over clean (use more water-use more energy- use more time) but its something I'm determined to improve on in the coming weeks.

I've posted this video before. This is me carrying out a maintenance (4weekly) clean.

It takes me about 6 minutes cleaning time to do the backs of a property with a conservatory. Total cleaning time for the house would be 10 minutes. This is a 4 bedroom detached property.

30 of these would be a busy day, but very do-able, I do have lots of compact work that I can reach 8 or 9 houses before I need to move the van. I will always do atleast 25 properties a day when this is the case.

Since this video I've actually switched to using hot water now, and I think I'm even faster.
