Started Brazilian JiuJitsu up this evening as well. A bit of technique work and then rolling for the last half of the class. I was blowing out my hoop. What an amazing atmosphere it was, if you ever get a chance find a class, you guys would love it..

I have a mate who fights mma and the jujitsu is his forte..he has demonstrated some and it seems very good..and painfull when i am being demonstrated on lol

Ive done judo as a kid, dabbled with taekwondo for a year and last did muay thai for 2 years. Tried mma for a short while and the grapplin was based on jujitsu. Its amazing how tiring it is grappling on the ground.

My favourite was the muay thai both for fitness and i think the most effective in real life close range situations where elbows and knees are very effective. No wonder most MMA fighters have a bas of Muay thai and BJJ. If you can fight on your feet and the ground and have the stamina with it theres very few untrained people that would have a chance

would like to get back into it but it would be hard to fit in with the cycling/gym work.

I couldnt agree more. Muay thai training is brutal, it hardens your whole body up, and in a fist fight I would say its the best out there. But if you ever get taken to the ground in a scrap then just a few grappling moves can save your life.

I think that having a boxing/thai boxing background and being able to take it to the ground is the best combo for real life

Although in a real fight the last thing i want is for it to end up on the ground as it's too unpredictable

I like the way krav maga teaches to hit any exposed area especially the bollx and eyes nose etc to unbalance someone and avoid going down unless it is to restrain someone who is under control

Yep thats right. Kravmaga looks awesome, I think most militarys have adopted it now.

i bought some weights last sunday(various dumbbells and kettlebells).......decided not to visit my local gym until this is over(ive been going regularly 2 or 3 times a week for 4 years now)...so its time to get inventive....at least im still working out for the next 3 or 4 months....NEVER GIVE UP!!

Good job you got the equipment because gyms/leisure centres have been shut down.

Ive been training at home the last five years.

I have Olympic equipment and dumbells upto 80kg per db.

Its basic but I just stick with the compound movements - bench/squat/deadlift.

I got loads of equipment but can't set it all up, when I lived in OZ I had a lot bigger house. I shipped it all back with me when I moved back..

I’m a bit of a gym nut so am missing the gym big time ? we have an outdoor gym round the corner so will be using the monkey bars. Boxing clubs shut too so no shows to go to or training so have ordered a bracket for my punchbag. Skipping rope and ladder will get some use too, will just have to be creative. All us gym nuts where I live are going out of our minds lol it’s like getting a fix!

It's easy to get a good workout at home with a few dumbbells and kettlebells....I've done squats, deadlifts, chest press(on sofa),press ups, standing shoulder presses, farmers walks, tricep presses, bicep curls, dumbbell rows today.....10 min warm up(jogging on the spot)and 5 min band work.....put some music on and get in the zone.......so 15 min warm up and 60 min weight session.....I did more reps as I'm not lifting as much weight as I would do in a proper gym.....

I hit the gym every time when I am free. So it's pretty important for me and that's why I prefer to use some special things for this job. Since my wish is about getting stronger, I choose a nitrosigine pre-workout benefits because it gives me a chance for an instant result. Do you guys know something about it? What is your experience? I really want to improve this and the article about it really helped me to understand it...
Where can I find some more feedback?
