Leaking connections

Guys I have a hose lock connection from my tank onto the hose reel the problem is it leaks all the time (from the actual connection ,were the rubber washer is ) this is a pain in the ass as water lies on the van floor regularly

I have same with my trolley system with reel, just ordered new o rings to see if it will reduce leakage on male connection.

If you have plastic connections, have you tried swapping them for brass? They are so much better when used with some p.t.f.e tape

I bought all new genuine Hozelock connectors for my kit and sometimes they do leak...thought the whole idea was that they're watertight anyone tried these expensive looking Hozelock Pro Metal connectors? HOZELOCK 2030 PRO METAL GARDEN HOSE CONNECTOR

Steve it's the actual connection between the two fittings if though know what I mean ,each connection on their own don't leak

Liking the idea of using standard plumbing stuff. Why do we take it for granted that we have to use garden accessories? Push fit and compression fittings are cheaper and better for sure?

no, you only change very end bit not the whole brass elbow. and use hose that is designed for hot water use, theres plenty on the market.

Is this all available at Wicks or the likes @rcproperty? What about the elbow on the reel? regular supply or special item?

The one with a barb for 1/2 hose I got on mine dosent seem to be listed atm, but heres one with a Rectus fitting which I have found better than hozeleak type fittings

most parts I got from toolstation but the swivel 90deg hoselock I got from a normal wfp supplier.

I found that bladeright is the best palce to get them from.
