Today was the first day as a window cleaner that I have had a brief moment or two where my 18 ft SLX got a ind of it's own and decided that I was going to have to fight back if I wanted to stay in control.

They say tomorrow is more of the same with 40mph winds in the Midlands!

Be careful on them ladders lads!!

Me and Superman Dave worked in winds of 50mph last week. The sills were covered in grit so odds on the windows didn't look great either. Didn't have one complaint. Couple of clued up customers asked about wind and wfp though!

I washed my van today as I went and done a few and was just too windy , jumped in to go down to the shop and the windows are stinken already on it, it's really a waste of time cleaning windows when the winds that bad , but we need to live

Learnt my lesson last week, using my 45' pole at about 40' and wind got hold. I'm 6'4" and the wrong side of 20 stone and couldn't hold it. Fortunately there was a stone ridge at the end of the gutter that stopped it going off the edge. It had been gusting, which was ok but had a blast for about 30 seconds that did me in. Never set foot out of the house today.

i feared if i tried to hold my slx against the wind it would snap so i checked there was nothing for it to hit and let it blow over onto next doors fence.

First the rain, then finally sun comes out along with a hurricane...England dont you love it

had 3 houses this morning where i have to climb onto a balcony had to get my lad to hold the ladders incase they weren't there when i came to go down again lol

You can WFP in the rain but not really in the wind as it just spots up

Got a few drives saved for this week

Stayed at home myself in Bonny Scotland. Gusting to 50mph tomorrow:confused:
Too windy for the ladders today in the west coast of bonnie Scotland, constant 40mph winds! Really wish these daft storms would did off!!! Need to get out tomorrow to do the new bought runs first cleans!

Worked with extreme wind today. Probably only have the madras next time /emoticons/biggrin.png
