Hi Poles Apart

I replied last night (22.16) but here it is again:

Thanks for the video.

A few questions to help me envisage your setup and use.

If this affecting both of your backpacks then the questions are for both of the backpacks.

Are there any connectors leaking anywhere down the line at all? Which connectors are in use?

What is the length of hose being used between the backpack and the pole hose? That is if any extra is being used, if not is any extra pole hose length being used?

Does this vary at all? Is it better at the start of the day?

What speed setting is this being used on the flow controller?

Thanks for the reply. Firstly the backpack on the video is the worst affected, the other one to a far lesser extent just a slight frequent humming noise from the pump.

There is no evidence of leaks anywhere I am meticulous when it comes to securing connectors as I like a bone dry vehicle, I am using pole hose as my only hose with one eze-snap connector at the backpack hose end and a JG connector at the pole as I have made my poles sort of tubeless. I work with my lady that's why we use 2 backpacks and we are backpack only. One hose is about 12 meters long and the other about 20 meters.

With regard the backpack that is making the noise in the video you sent me.

Sorry I didn't answer those questions all speeds from medium to high are being used for flow and as far as it being any better at the start of the day no it isn't. If you've got any 45ft High slx poles I'll be ordering one next week.

I think that the solution is either for us to have the backpack back to sort it out or I test a pump here and when I have checked that it works correctly I can send this to you for you to swap the pump across.
You can have the backpack if you like we can manage with the other one for a week, that one is not too bad I can put up with it. I would say one thing though: If the manufacturer is going to make a newer version advise them to make the pressure adjustment screw accessible from the outside.

Thankyou for the help

Ricky.

Hi Ricky

I have sent you an email with details about arranging a collection for you.

I have previously discussed with the moulding factory about changing the mould to allow for this, but the current mould cannot at this time be modified. Fortunately the need for such things is very limited, with very few pressure switches needing adjustment.
