I'm not going to lie, I know nothing about vans.

I think I did ok but thought I'd get an opinion from you lot as I don't have any mates who know anything about vans.

I paid £25 for a vehicle check before I bought it and everything checked out. I took it for a test drive and it drives well.

It's a 58 plate TRANSIT CONNECT T230 LX LWB 90 TDCI and I paid £3800. It's done just shy of 60,000 miles and MOT is due at the end of December.

Did I get ripped off? [emoji23]

Very nice looking van.

I'm certainly no expert and I expect you are no fool. So if you were happy with the money you spent, good job.

Very nice colour.

You did ok mileage is decent have you made sure it has been serviced properly and regularly? I am not sure if this engine is on timing chain or belt but if belt probably a good idea to replace soon if not done by previous owner as it is now 8 years old. Pricewise probably could have done a little better but definitely not a rip off. Did ok mate

Cheers. I'm fairly confident i did ok and I was happy with the money I spent.

I like the colour too. I'm trying to sort out the sign writing now but not sure what colour will look best.

Cheers. It's been serviced regularly. The guy I bought it from was the first owner and had looked after it. It's got a few minor marks here and there but I reckon most of them will buff out. The cab needs a good hoover and clean but will come up ok. He was originally asking for an extra £300 but I knocked him down.

You have only been ripped off if you are unhappy with what you paid!

If that is the case well then why did you pay it?

TBH it's more than I would pay for a small van (i'm tight) but it looks well smart and low miles as well so in fairness I think it's sound.

When i see you during the week I'll look under the bonnet for you

I think from memory it may be a belt

If it needs changing i can do that no worries but if it's been looked after it's more than likely ok

Looks good mate, you've paid the average price tbh. Great things about selling and buying, one person wants the max they can get and the other for the price the want to spend. If that's what you had in mind to spend then win win. I'm waiting until the car goes for MOT end of March until I think about a van. Think the turbo is on its last legs so not willing to spend too much on an '04 plate Astra. Been looking at the connect and also the vaux combo (new).
