Perhaps I should be more clear. That is for both my van and car mate. Not just work.
Saturday, dinner with friends in London, this morning off to Birmingham to get wife from airport.

I clock more leisure miles than work miles @Markyboy 50
That's ok mate. I prob do £40 a week in me car privately myself. Went to london on Friday and home on Sunday via Biggleswade to visit my daughter. Thought u just meant your van;)

I whizzed past there when giving the ole ST a bit of stick on the a1. Daughter works near Dunstable somewhere in a school. Caddington I think it is

I don't really understand that green.
Is this to store water yourself?

Only reason I ask Is I live in a terrace with no rear or side access. Hence buying water.
If it is an terrace with wooden floors and a space underneath, could you not run a delivery pipe from the back to the front under the house? Produce water at the back into an IBC tank and connect up to the van in the street as and when.

One of my customers plumbed a water pipe from the pipe to the water tank in the loft, down the front of the house behind the down pipe from the roof. Its hardly noticable. He used the tap for his garden on the other side of the path. (House is back to front.)

I pay £10 up to 500 litres and £20 up to 1000, it's in near Dagenham I think they still do £5 up to 250 litres /emoticons/smile.png

Ahhh can't help. I'm in N.E. London Suburb of Nottingham. ! /emoticons/smile.png)
Well wont be too many years with Londons sprawling pace before the midlands are nothing but burbs. /emoticons/tongue.png
You maybe right. I've moved out to the outskirts to Swanley. My postcode is br8 (Bromley) which is a London borough. Though strangely when I write my address I have to write Swanley, Kent!

Because of this, Boris is seriously considering making anything inside the M25 be classed as London. As we speak they are installing oyster card machines (London travel cards) in Swanley, Dartford etc. For the moment I'm a kent/London mongrel!

It's always going to be cheaper to produce your own water than buy it. When I started WFP about 6 years ago I was buying from another window cleaner about 400 metres away at £2.50 per 100 litres (minimum 400 litres, my trailer was a 350 Litre) plus I was wasting time going there. Also, sometimes he wasn't able to supply for one reason or another (run out, system broke etc.). When it started costing £100 a month (still not a lot) I decided to set up a 450 GPD Pure Freedom R.O. with D.I. (about £200) and a 1000 Litre IBC (£50 inc. delivery off e-bay) plus a transfer pump and hose (2nd hand, £50). I did spend to have the R.O. fitted in an insulated box (£200) and a dedicated o/s water tap fitted. I reckon I save at least £1500 a year.
