Cleaner Planner App

Hey, I was just wondering if any of you use the cleaner planner that is advertised on here? It looks good to me and it's something that I need as I'm no good at remembering to update the diary, though I could try harder. But is it worth £15 a month? Seems kind of steep for something that is a basically a glorified spreadsheet. Also I presume the government will be tapping it at some point as there war on cash continues to gain pace. I'd like to hear any feedback about it. Thanks lads.

CP is way ahead of other round tracking software once you get your head round how it works its fantastic so simple to use and the mobile worksheets are great the info on the app worksheets is way ahead of other software ,

And support from Rob is first class plus their is a forum were most questions have or will be answered by other users and Rob .

I work with a calendar myself , every house is wrote out in book in order for the next 10 months, and any new ones for that day/round I write at the bottom just and then rewrite it out when the page is full, as soon as I do the work I just count the weeks forward and mark it up. Cost me a pound from poundshop for the calendar /emoticons/tongue.png

Brilliant. A diary!

Not a chance I am hand writing 600 plus customers into a book.

With CP I press a button on my mobile at the end of the day and it is all auto synched.

Organises your round how you like it. Shows all the stats you and info you could need to know to help stay organised and grow.

I have had CP for about a year and just upgraded from basic package to pro as so I can sync the GoCardless widget to it.

Bad experience with tablets and laptops may it be crashing etc . Takes me an hour to write out once or twice a year

If you kill the tech thats your own fault CHWS. And if you only write out you books once or twice per year how does it stay upto date?

Also CP is server based so for for example I can come to tour house log onto your computer and access my CP interface. It is not 'installed' on my hardware (phone app is) so I can access it from any PC or tablet or phone anywhere.

Tipex /emoticons/wink.png I don't lose customers only gain and when I gain I write it into the book, it gets updated every 6 months so I then organise what house comes before the existing etc. I'm not slating the planner just I find this as easy as any

Interesting the OP created this thread.....

How many houses to do you a day?

Using proper software will allow you to plan your work better.

You will increase your turnover, reduce expenses and spend less time on admin using software.

As for £15 being a lot i pay for the £25 package and its a GOD send. I could NOT run my company without it.

Whichever one you use i think it is really an essential part of your setup

Especially if you have multiple frequencys

I tried to get everyone on just 5 or 10 weekly but am finding as i am getting busier people are not just wanting the 1 option when i quote them

Bearing in mind i have 1 particular area of town which happens to be furthest away where i have 80-90% of my work i am there daily and it is small enough that different frequencies work ok there and i do the other areas on my way towards home every day

Without round partner i wouldn't be able to keep up with who is when etc and would miss jobs

Mean this as a genuine question:

Can those that use software please say what the pro's are of using it compared to using a smartphones calendar which in my case is i cloud?

  • I can set up text messages days, weeks, months in advance to go out at a set time.My work automatically syncs at the end of the day once i have clicked a button.
  • Go cardless customers have their payments started that day. 6/7 days later the payment is in my account, customer informed, debt list updated. All with the press of ONE button 6/7 days ago
  • If a customer pays me via online banking i can update my debt list ANYWHERE in the world (3g required)
  • I can text every customer with two clicks and inform them of weather delays/price increase etc.
  • My work sheet will work without internet connections (once downloaded)

Just to name a few.

Round software is not for everyone.

I run a business to make money its that simple. I do quite a few things different to other cleaners. What works for them may not work for me and vice a versa.

Using CP makes me money, saves me money and more importantly saves me time. I value my time at £30-£50 per hour. So ONE hour saved a week pays for CP for the WHOLE month.

Cheers Damo - more than I thought.

Does Cleaner Planner also act as your main customer database or do you keep a seperate excel spreadsheet?

Basically trying to work out if it provides all you need or whether you need to use other software to produce invoices for example.

I must admit I'm tempted to give it a go.

No no no and no lol.

Way more to it. That's just the start.

Imagine paying an office girl two hours a day todo admin. That's kinda like what it does.

You won't need anything else.

As for invoicing. Once you have set it all up.

Invoices are generated automatically and it's again one click.

It is your database..work done..work outstanding..payments outstanding

.payments made..expenses..text service..quotes to do etc..etc

I know cleaner planner is even more in depth than round partner that i use but i can still pull up reports of everything and see how much money/work outstanding daily/weekly/monthly/annually and that is all i need for the taxman

I don't wanna start a what's better argument but i tried RP and CP

Cp is in a different league. Sorry.

Will be doing some more whistling soon Dave.

Cool - I'm gonna give it a go. Although my current system has been serving me well up until now I'm getting to the point where software is knocking on the door more and more. February has been a far busier month than I expected so time to move over. Cheers for the advice - v helpful

It's a free trial. Plenty of guys who will help. If you don't like it. You haven't lost anything /emoticons/smile.png

Hahaha, this is true, the irony. That just goes to show, that I really need software in my life. With such a small client list I'm already fed up with writing in a diary. The work, I can deal with but I'm that guy that thinks I'll do that in a minute with the admin stuff and then forgets. I have never been taught this window cleaning game so I'm using this forum as my sounding board with every thought that goes through my head. Thanks for your reply, as to everyone, thank you.
