Thoughts on Razer red rubber

When Liquidator first came out I found a supplier of Blue rubber here in NZ. Thought, what the heck, splashed out about $120 and bought a swag of it. EVERY piece has the issue you're describing norm. I put it down to age and possibly rubber drying out. In short, old stock. As the Razer Red appears to have a silicone base though I doubt that would be the issue here. Sounds to me like a possible cutting issue at factory. I'd be doing a 'what are you going to do about it' to the supplier. For the record I bought my last lot off WCW early January 2015. So its possibly the first batch after that, assuming these issues are consistent with all purchasers. Also is this a pre cut 14" length or a length you cut yourself from a 36"... I've had the odd problem with a few of my 14" ones where the bulb size seems inconsistent and it 'sticks' when pulling it onto the channel. You end up with loose and tight spots along it's length and that certainly creates some 'interesting' patterns on the glass.

i think i may have bought mine of ebay not from main supplier maybe storage problem or as you say cutting prob in factory

i was chating to a suplier of them black dimond rubbers he said they have had lots of trouble with them leving lines cos they come stuck togther and when u peal them they can peel funny and leve a unstrate edge

Interesting. I've just received stock from Oz. Will let you know how I get on. The first pair I got from John Winter in Germany were fine.

gave up on the razer red after about 2 hours today it was leaving lines. checked the rubber for holes or grazes but cant see any.:turd:

It must be some shoddy rubber then as my stash is nearly a year old and still works 100% fine

It would be a shame if they have let the quality slide

I have noticed they drag on some kinds of glass and glide on other kinds of glass. I think they also need a couple of houses to break them in too.

Is anyone hitting Facelift up about this. Sounds like the manufacturer may be pulling a 'swiftie' and have arbitrarily changed the formula. Happens a lot in China if there's no checking of quality control...assuming of course it's manufactured there...

Cant be bothered, just show it with the wallet. Gone back to my trusted sorbo channels and rubber they never fail me.

Back to good old pulex problem solved

Is it Pulex any good, they sell a lot of it here it oz, I just thought it was bottom of the rubber chain.

I notice this too, a little breaking in required but then they still drag a little on different glass when the end is just outside the soap but then at another house no problem.

I haven't tried the red razor yet and had heard good things,but I imagine it is very similar to the green coloured unger rubber.

That stuff was good for the first day but that was about it.

I always go back to normal hard or soft unger it's usually on offer at soap national.

Got a batch in the other day and the first bit I cut and put in the channel is leaving lines! Will use another piece of the stuff to see if it's the same. Really like the razr red stuff too but slowing me down leaving lines everywhere!

i got a 3 razer from blade rite as i got a load of unger hard wat a load of dung they r bad batch i had were the same as the 3 b never again will i order them or the unger hard there dung as well lol ettore soft cant beat them there is a resion there one of the most expencive ruber there one of the best imo
