as you know went out posting other day in rain and got texts off 2 of them +one more last night so went quoted today

iv already got a few houses around this area so was nice to add a few extra

one was only 4 windows at front easy 2 normal sized windows 2 small windows got it at £5 plus will pay over paypal 5mins

one was two bed room semi quoted £9 ,only after posted I thought why 9 should of rounded it to 10 but is still easy ,easy excess to back no messing .not got back to me yet . 8-10 mins

the third I quoted a £10er two bed semi 15mins max ,got the job

and an easy gutters in out front and back ,and some

Fascia's cleaning front and back

at the back theres a near flat roof extension so can easily do gutters off that then the gutters on the extension.

Google Maps

I feel I can do the gutters and windows in 2hours and charged £65 for gutters and £10 for the windows .im personally happy with that ,but is that less then what should be charged for them .back is the same as front + gutters on extension .would like to know what people thought.

anyway when I said 10er for the windows she said great ill have them done every week ......................I was stunned but felt that was to much ,I did say I do most of my windows once a month ,I said I don't personally think you need them every week but ill do them every 2weeks and if you still want them every week after a while ill change it to weekly .so we both agreed fortnightly. And finally, she said her friend wants hers doing but shes going away tomorrow for a week or two and when she gets back she wants a quote for windows gutters and the roof /sides of her conservatory .

all this with a few hours canvassing in rain ,that I didn't want to do ,well seems to have paid off .lol .

Is that including the fascias on the side of the house?

That is a bit irrelevant though as that is an easy 65 notes for an hours work

If you are happy with that price then it is the right price

The more you do them the easier it will be to quote on the fly and get it right

Easy money though bud so well done

I have leafletted since 9 this morning and just got home although i did meet up with @Adams0211 and have a little doss but have done a good few hundred leaflets in an area i am targeting as it joins onto my best area

Will keep you posted

the side of the house is the apex ,because im doing this off ladders I said I might not be able to do it ,but if on the day I can itll be another £20 which now thinking about it is cheap for the side considering the height of it .so 75 for all gutters and windows and if I can do it another 20 for the apex.

was going to do a diy trolly wfp a while back for this exact reason but never got round to it .

going to pick up a progutter over weekend (needed one anyway )

Iv done the odd 1-2 gutter cleans before and the odd conny roof ,so struggle to know how long it takes but we ll get there .

Progutter get from b&q for 7 quid

If you are only gonna use it for fascias then buy a pump for £14 off ebay

Battery for about 12

Put it in a exterior junction box from b&q for a tenner

Buy a cheap pole off ebay

I wouldn't use that for everyday window cleaning but would suffice for fascias

Dirt cheap ..jimmyboots did a thread "homemade alternative to backpack" which has links to the parts needed

No need for reel or anything and tapwater is fine

is the backpack any good and how long would 20l last ie enough to clean gutters conny roofs ,I have a 25l barrel that I could use to top up I guess .I take it the hose and wfp ill have to get myself will it be easy to join all these together ,never done it before so f****** clueless lol ,bear in mind all these are for gutters and conny roofs only not for window cleaning NEW Water Genie Trolley / Backpack 20L - Window Cleaning, Water fed pole WFP

water fed pole window cleaning

METRIC & IMPERIAL Flexible Nylon Tube Hose Pneumatic Air Line Tubing 1m 30m 100m

When i first started water fed it was for roofs and fascia jobs

I bought a normal garden hose reel with hose and a 30ft pole

Got a connector with the pole to connect to hozelock connector and as long as customer had outside tap that was all i needed

Gives you time to work out what else you need while still getting jobs done

It's not long before you get the wfp bug and don't want to trad windows anymore though lol

30ft Telescopic Water Fed Cleaning Pole + 35L Water Tank Window Cleaning Trolley[/url]might get this then ,would like to make my own ,but not time plus an existing custys asking for gutter clean soon aswell starting to feel like one of the big boys now jobs rolling in lololol
40 - 60 mins quoted battery life!

You'll be buying a new one in no time when it dies before finishing a job.

And yes, you will need a 30ft pole to clean the apex of fascia.

Bucket of cleaning solution to dip the brush head in, 30ft pole and garden hose - job done. Then expand your kit as you grow and figure out what you want.

Oh, and I find a sill brush (curved) is easier for fascia than a square, flat one.

And a pump up sprayer to get ubik or whatever on most fascias and then spray or dip the brush to do the bits you can't reach

Which pump up sprayer do you recommend . Also how do you extend the hose on it to reach the gutters .
Take off hose off pump sprayer, add a decent length of pole hose, feed that hose up a WFP (a spare pole is better) attach a fan jet or use an old resi neck and glue the spray nozzle to it.

This is a good idea

You could cable tie a length of pole hose to the end rather than a coil of hose like this but the idea is there
