So on Monday I ordered a Water Works HD reel to replace my existing reel. The courier left a note on Tuesday and yesterday I collected it from the courier company.

First observations is at 14KG (I think it is) without hose it is quite a chunk but very well engineered.

Fresh out the box, literally just add hose, connect earth and live and away you go.

I do like the fact it comes with elbow bayonet attachment instead of Hozelock type fitting.

Here you can see it on top of the box amazingly it takes up half the footprint of the old reel you see on the floor in front. I could actually fit two of the new HD reels in the space of the old one.

I ran out of daylight setting it up but will try to sort a video in the next couple of days.

Hi green pro how are you getting on with the reel as I'm really interested in getting one have seen they have a remote control version any one got one .

Love it @Nick pegler DWC, didn't go for the remote as was out of budget for me at that time, however I do not regret that as the standard control works just sweet when at the back of the van!

This reel makes you /emoticons/smile.png):))/emoticons/smile.png):))/emoticons/smile.png):))/emoticons/smile.png):))/emoticons/smile.png):))

I want to get one but I use my hose feel outside the van using outports, so I'm just trying to see if I can hook it up so there a little connector on my bumper ports which plugs in to the reel [emoji1303]

ive just fitted the add on kit to my old hose reel. its amazing in every way, I bought it to save me reeling when in fact it makes my day easier and quicker in every way. originally I wanted to order the hd power up but was advised that the normal style reel self spools better and works best with the remote. I now clean front to back and then press the remote button when finished and that's that 100m hose is away, its got an auto cut off if it snags but to be fair it doesn't snag coz your walking back behind it. I bought a winch guide off ebay for £13 and it works a treat. ive also wired my pump onto the remote for on/off.

what ever you buy make sure you get the remote, I recon it saves me 3mins a job x 20 a day x 5days = 5 hours a week :)

if I knew how to post a pic or video from my phone I would but cant seem to do it.

have to say this is the second full week of using the hd reels with hose guides and what a brilliant product theses are I have had a week of no lower back pain from lifting a hose reel in and out 30 to 40 times a day just pushed a button and looked very smugg anyone thinking about getting one do so ....
