Roughly how many houses can people get through in a day with a tank of 350 litres??

That's not easy to answer as all houses are different. Answering your question another way though, I look to earn £20-£25 per 25lts of pure water I use.

I know again this is not an easy one to answer.

But as a rough average what would you say you use on a typical 3 bed semi. 8 windows and 2 doors for arguments sake

There is no definite answer to this one as each window cleaner and each house is different.

My son will usually use 20 liters per 3 bed semi doing maintenance cleans. If the house is a new build with smaller windows, then he may squeeze 2 houses out of 25 liters.

If there is a conservatory involved then he will use more. 1 large 4 bed detached house with large conservatory will take him his backpack (22 liters) and a 25 liter plastic container.

We clean all frames including the top. He is economical with his water. At one time he would use a little less as he would wet the window quickly, switch his water off and then scrub. He would only switch his water back on to rinse. He doesn't do that much now unless there is a stubborn mark that needs attention. He gets a better result using a little more water.

We tried 1.4mm jets as he felt the higher flow would help to squirt the dirt off the windows during rinsing but he has gone back to 2mm jets. Smaller jets may have worked better if his backpack has a controller, but its a 3 speed unit and he works with the slowest speed anyway.

There is a window cleaner in Wales who seems to be able to clean a window with a cup of water. But he doesn't clean the frames when he can avoid it.

So my son would probably answer your question and say 14 - 15 mixed.

Although I should add, that's being fairly generous with the water
