first day of putting prices up, never put them up before some work I have is at least 6 years old.

Start putting them up today on some underpriced work I bought, £12 houses at around £7/9 some people complaining it's going up £1.50 lol this is gonna be fun lol

I'm not very good at putting up prices. I've put up a few low ones since Xmas. Left the rest alone. Not worth the risk of losing some for the sake of an extra quid

Put 10x £10 houses up £1

Lose 1 customer

Now you have 9 houses paying the same money as your previous 10

Multiply that by 300 houses and you are working a day and a half less a month for the same cash

This week I have bumped a couple of prices up but more importantly been telling all the customers they are going to be on GoCardless.

Explained to them how it works, how it helps save time and money and then having them sign up.

Now here's the key..... if you tell them about it and then leave them a link to sign up they may or may not bother to remember..... you know what customers are like. I have the GoCardless 'Pro' subscription and with this you can have a simple sign up form on your web site.... if you want to see go to www.greenproclean.co.uk/payments

Now the benefit of this form is I can open it straight on my mobile, they type in name, address, bank details and done. That's it, simple.

Of all the customers I have spoke to this week all (except grannies that are allways home with cash) none have had no issues and signed up even commenting on what a great idea and how professional it is.

As @Damo will probably agree getting the money in promptly is the most important part and GoCardless saves hours every month for trying to collect the cash.

It does not matter of you put the price up £1 or £10 if you are still having to wait ages for your cash then whats the point? 3 years ago we we're collecting 4 days per week 3 hours per day 4 weeks per month ...... that's 48 hours per month! Now if like me you generally work a six hour day on the glass that's 8 days a month extra just to collect! Time that would be much better spent canvassing or leafleting.

Back on topic now. I did have maybee 50 that were still at £8 and all those have been bumped to £10 without issue. Now I only have one customer below £10 and it's a granny flat with 2 windows and 1 door for £6 but as I always get a cuppa I shant put the price up. /emoticons/smile.png

Day 2 people alright with it these are some of my longest serving customers who accept it more, one person has changed to bi monthly from monthly.

I have been thinking about go cardless I don't normally go collect as I tel people to send my the money but it can take a while for some people as they can forget

What happened to the minimum £12 per job?
@Markyboy 50 @daveyboy @CHWS

As you seem to follow my business closely remember all the posts, not just selective ones.

It is this year --- 2016 -- that I have implemented a minimum of £12 per job, that is for new sign ups, old work from 3 - 4 years ago has been left on the minimum it was then, £8. They are getting bumped to £10, they get to stay on the slightly lower rate for another year for being good customers. However next year they will get bumped up to £12 as well. £12 will probably still be my minimum if I continue till 2018 then I will review my prices once again.

Hope that clarifies my pricing for you all. /emoticons/tongue.png :finger: /emoticons/smile.png)

Hence the part of the sentence where I say 'If I continue till 2018' Asia is an option we are still deciding.
Anything else you wish to call me on @Tuffers ?
What kind of thing do you say to customers when bumping the price up by £2 or more?

minimum pricing at £12 there wont be many guys getting that dont think

imagine all your graft which takes ten mins got loads. getting £12 per house
