I have picked up a new gutter, fascia and soffit clean.

part of the above has a flat roof garage attached to the house meaning i would have to place the ladder on the flat garage roof in order to access the gutters.

What would everyone's advice be in this situation?

Gutter sucker,or ladder on a scaffold bord, maybe footed by a mate.
definitely going to invest in a gutter sucker for future jobs but this one got sprung on me and I didnt want to decline it as she agreed to an £8 monthly window clean (fronts only) /emoticons/smile.png

My next purchase will be some pro gutter tools,as I think most the time it's just bloody quicker to put your ladder up lol.

But it's in these situations I'm glad I invested in the vac.

As long as the roof is sound then just put some thing under the ladder to spread the wait over the joist and to pertect the roof, just watch it doesn't slide out under you.

Good luck

Will probably tie a bungee to the gutter for measure too. (All around the house not just above garage)
