Another call there from a leaflet drop done like 3 weeks ago! 7 pound flat, nice and compact in a wee cul-de-sac previously untouched. I've 8 in there now,and hopefully get a few more when on the job!

chris, one habit i've got into doing is leaflet dropping 10 leaflets each way of the house you are cleaning BEFORE you start cleaning. That way when you are cleaning, they may see you and come out of the house and ask about your services.

Today chapped some doors I'd stuck fliers out to a few days ago. First knock, new customer! She'd actually put the flier on her fridge door, so just goes to show these follow up chaps are worthwhile.

Five houses in total today, with a cafe also. Cafe was a good contact actually, turns out her old man and brother are both needing a windy too (same village), so await that hopefully turning into something.

Can see these small commercial jobs becoming a burden real fast, but they all have my advert in the window so it'll do for now.

Have an advert now up in five village shops here, and business cards on all the desks. Think that's 7/8 houses in this village so far but lots of potential here I reckon.

It's funny, people always say 'theres a window cleaner that does this area ' etc. Chap a few streets from there and there's always jobs available though!

Been up to an area I'd had work in, turns out their local windy ain't been there for 6 months so that was six houses all in a row (all 6.50) ,two other calls from third floor ones I'd fliered came in at 7.50 today.

My total is now £815 per 4 weekly cycle, with two gutter jobs as well.

Well done bud. You're flying /emoticons/smile.png. Do you canvass weekends at all?

Cheers mate, honestly I think I'm averaging a yes per 15/20 houses answered. This has been helped by Facebook though. I always ask if there's a local windy when get a pm. If there's not, then that area gets targeted hard.

Generally all areas are very productive for me except new builds here, where big contractors seem to already be operating.

I'm changing approach depending on the customer too,if I think they're sceptical I'll give them a speel about how I'm doing half their Street, licensed and insured etc..all before I even say what I do! Always dropping fliers and chapping two or three days later generally though.

Never the less, when they answer that door I expect them to be my customer lol and if see three or more dirty houses in a row,I assume that's an area needing a window cleaner.

Tomorrow I'll chap doors in an area I have two jobs in,embroidered polo shirt (weather permitting) and boots work well for me. I know there's work there as Facebook told me again,so I'll try compact that area of round. This is what I done tonight, picked an area with work and condensed. Keeping one or two weeks out of my four week cycle light, as this is when the heavy canvassing gets done.

Copy and pasting them mate, save this into my email drafts and paste them in.
Fife window cleaning services provide a regular and reliable window-cleaning service in Fife.

I am able to offer an insured and licenced service, which is important should any accidental damage occur (you would be covered for Windows cracking, fallen ladders etc)

See me at https://m.facebook.com/fifewindowcleaningservices/ where all reviews are positive and there are details of what I offer.

I use traditional cleaning methods (ladders and soapy water) but can use a 30 foot waterfed pole for high rise buildings and hard to reach windows.

Payment options include PayPal,bacs or old school cash on collection. Cleans can be one offs, regular 2 weekly, 4 weekly or 8 weekly etc. Whatever suits, but most people go for 4 weekly as a pointer.

Prices start at 6 pounds, and all prices are within the pound of that unless you own a very large house!

Feel free to drop me a like chaps!
have liked your page.

Well done mate, keep pushing. Where bouts are you though as your prices seem very cheap? It's good to be busy, but make sure it pays, and remember you need to pay tax and petrol out of it.

Thanks mate,I'm Fife Scotland.

Just got 6 in Upper half of the village am working in today. One guys sons a windy here, charges 3 pound per house seemingly. He laughed when I said I do 6.50 here, thought it was stupidly expensive! Lol

Furry muff mate, suppose it's relative. Keep going and keep up the pricing, don't let them convince you down to their level.

i agree, stick to your prices, just quoted a 3 bed bungalow for £11, access to the back is through the garage, customer is in during the day so shouldn't be issues, she said the window cleaner across the road charges £6.40 but he never got back to her, thinking about this last night- he is probably exhausted or he is full and can't fit her in.

Wish my area was as well priced as that davey! Similarly though,I'm going in at double what they take here.

So today I got seven new houses in that area, six at 6.50 and one at 7. That's nine in that village now. All 4 weekly.

Got a call there from a street I'd previously canvassed, they all said no cos their guy was 3.50 (but he wasnt doing facia wipes and was making a mess basically )

I've now got an upstairs and downstairs there, both 6.50 and so that wee village is about 14 houses now. Think I've got 25 new customers this week, and am near 900 per four weekly cycle or something.

Wish I could price higher but 6.50 is from local experience the very tipping point for keeping this round fairly compact and not being told to p!ss off.

Aye defo Adam, but they are A often quoted as being irregular and this helps me get their custom, and B usually on the dole and unlicensed. This also helps me lol!

Stole a fair few now, Awaiting hassle of such jake balls. Haha.

Unfortunately with pricing here, I can't do enough for people to pay say 3 x above what they currently know is available.

There's a windy does my folks' house , nice guy too. Now he's offering to sell some work to me,it's all 3 bed semis with rear patio doors (houses are all set at a fiver, which I'd price here at 7 pound upwards). So yeah, not even worth buying much at these prices, lose too many punters when putting up prices two quid plus (almost 50 percent increase to them)

Just my opinion you seem to be picking up a lot of work at the prices you are giving (maybe you are cheap) why not sneak it up slightly on the next week of canvassing (chapping) and see how it goes.

Thanks Alex, it's not price related though mate. Lots of my houses are next to 3 quid ones, and that's across a good few areas. As above, my folks windy even does their big three bed detached for a fiver too. There's a real lack of reliable windys where I am. Which is good.

Maybe I'll try hike it up in a totally new area, but was going to use the fb guys who contact me as my higher paid ones (felt there would be more chance of hitting them for more seeing as they contacted me)
