Here is a video of me using my new soft-wash system I got from Ben at Rutland Pumps as requested by one or two people.

Sprayed just over 40m of 5 foot high fencing in about 4mins so not bad, would have taken me an hour or more with my backpack sprayer.

Used a 2% approx Hypo mix with no surfactant, there isnt really any problem with the hypo not sticking to a dry fence. The fence just absorbs it.

The only issue I had with setting up the system out of the box was clamping the 20bar hose to the lance/ tap assembly. The regular hose clamps provided didn't quite tighten down enough meaning a few leaks. A quick trip to Halfords to get a couple of fuel line hose clamps did the trick.

I will post a few pics of the set up itself over the next few days if anyone is interested.

That's surprising a 2% mix got it up so clean
On wood I have found it is best to go with a lot less hypo otherwise it can turn white and have all the color stripped out of it 2% seems to be about the right amount. Same with when I use it on decking. I will start at 2% and work my way up if I need to.

Thats impressive!!! Do you have to go back over and rinse off?
I did go over it with a lower pressure setting on my pressure washer afterwards to take the thick moss off.

And did you use surfactant or just hypo and water ?
On wood There isn't much need for a surfactant IMO. It absorbs the chemicals anyway so there isnt much of an issue with getting it to stay on the surface to dwell.

Good job , how long did you leave it on for
10-40mins. The rinsing with the pressure washer took about 30mins or so along that section of fence so the fencing on the right had it sitting on it for a lot longer. That is in part why I used a weak mix to allow the rinse down time without bleaching the fence white.

They say you can plug WFP into the soft washer - let us know when/ if you do ...
I don't clean windows currently and never have. (I lied on the question about when I started window cleaning to join the forum.) At the moment I only do gutter cleaning/ clearing, Pressure washing and more recently soft-washing. Before I got the soft-wash system I was using Hypo to clean people green gutters from the ground so buying a system was the logical next step.

Ah right fair enough

I am mostly Windows so although I like soft washing roofs and walls will prob stick to my DIY pump box

Have you paid a licence fee to use my company colors on your kit? /emoticons/tongue.png/emoticons/smile.png)
Yeeeahhh ummmmm.... that cheque is in the post. Royal mail just haven't been the same since the privatisation... /emoticons/biggrin.png
