Was a lovely sunny day and had the last clean of the day to do it was yearly evening and was happy because the sun was out and I was looking forward to going home for a spot of food on the patio. knocked on customers door for access to garden and I say with enthusiasm "Isn't it lovely, how are you today on this beautiful sunny day?" bit of a pause... not really, Ive just came back from my husbands funeral. I felt awful, I knew her husband was unwell but clearly I didn't know to that extent. As I clumsily offered my condolences
she then explained that following her husbands passing way that Police turned up at her door to inform her that her son that lived the other side of the country had just died. Bam! How do you respond to that? She said she was so confused and didn't know who to grieve for. Certainly felt for her! Window cleaning is a university of life fast tracked on occasions.
