Just opened a business account

Thought i better as i am having a fair bit of cash flow through the bank now

Anyone use their normal account long term for work?

I know a few people lately who have been told off by their bank for using their personal accounts for work

My PayPal is pretty much my business account, so apart from a few cheques and the odd transfer they probably don't know otherwise.

PayPal cottoned on quick and hassled me within a month of starting up window cleaning, telling me I had to switch to a business account with them.

my paypal is family & freinds , has been the last 2 years,

my natwest gets used regular also, no comments yet.

I still have to confirm my identity over the phone to start the account and am trying to decide whether it is worth it

Free for 18 months but it is another thing to have to manage and mess about with

My bank willnt let you open an account unless you are face to face with a banking assistant with 3 bits of id.

Me and the wife have had 3 joint accounts there since i was 21 (40 now) and she's had an account there since she was at school

I entered our account details and they came back with just phone telephone banking and log in like normal and that will prove it's me

Always had a business account and business PayPal account, makes paperwork so much easier.

after bein accused of money laundering[i was actually flattered ] i sweet talked the main teller in the Halifax who i now get choclate limes big pack and Real choc at xmas . she told me providing i didnt pay in too many cheqs in one go, she wouldnt dob me in.

barclays I just use my currant account for everything business and own personal use

been using my personal lloyds account for 13 yrs, if cheques are made to my business name i just cross em out & put in a squiggle never had a problem, i did have a business one but when they started charging i stopped using it

I'm quite fortunate with this, my wife is a personal business banker and her christian name starts with the same letter as mine so I can feed everything through her account.

I tell customers to send cheques to S.

Garwood, but often get them to s. Garfield.

I tell the customers I know I'm ginger and fat, but I'm not a f.....g cat :thumbsup:

I just like having a a bank card that says business on makes me feel special. Costs £7.50 pm first year free

I have a business account with Santander its totally free and always has been, had it for at least 10 years though so it may have changed.
