The Ettore pole.

very good quality but a total pain in the ass to use. the locking cones wont undo/do up quickly when in use .

Nmm, haven't had any problems getting things on or off so far, although the plastic tips are soft plastic so things go on tight.

I considered the Unger poles for the optilok tips, but read on here the teleplus sections were pretty loose fitting and difficult to use extended.

what i meant was the locking cones are not easy to work quickly . View attachment 7551

Got this in the same consignment, and the swivel t-bar.

The porcupine I like, the swivel t-bar though is only good on a pole; compared to the Moerman fixed bi-component t-bar, the ettore swivel feels like cheap s*%# and the handle is just too small to be effective.

Also this, cause adding more to my cart is altogether too easy to do..

The clamp is surprisingly good, since it allows even pressure to be applied over a flat surface.

i really wanted to like ettore trad products - i mean arent they meant to be the pros choice when it comes to trad?

but, apart from the beanie hat ,their stuff hasnt worked for me

i really rate their hat tho- you can work like a dog wearing it on cooler days and your head wont ever get hot . [ungers hat by comparison is only suitable for the lazy-ites ,i guarantee your head will be hot in it if you up the pace]View attachment 7554

Oohhh, right yeah that bit /emoticons/smile.png
Yeah they're a bit of a 'drop everything and focus on me' deal, they are /emoticons/smile.png
somewhere i read if you rub candle wax onto the threads this speeds them up .for a while at least

Yeah so far it's been a 60/40 deal with the stiff of theirs I've ordered: 60% high quality, 40% cheap chinese :turd:

The pole, the Contour Pro+, the rubbers and now the porcupine sleeve: all good. The swivel bar feels cheap, and although the clamp is much more efficient than jacking-around with a utility clip, it doesn't feel like a-grade materials have been employed in its production /emoticons/smile.png

Top be honest, the only products I've never found myself even slightly disappointed by have been Moerman: even the first squeegee I bought at the hardware store (an Oates by Moerman cheap home line), still works without streaks and that's not even got replacement rubbers.

From that Oates squeegee to the Liquidator, their stuff just seems to work well and their soft rubbers are arguably my favorite of the ones I've used so far.

Moerman is a good brand

Hadn't used any of their stuff until just before the liquidators were released as moerman sent me some bits and bobs to play with and loved it ever since

I have everything moerman except belt and unger bucket

My poles are a harris decorators pole and a 5 foot length of pvc pipe with an optiloc cone wedged in the end

I have an ettore handle which i like but never got on with their stuff really

This was the first squeegee I bought, and like I said you can't even change the rubber, yet it still sluices the water off streak-free.

And here was the first upgrade - from the same hardware store. Much heavier stainless-steel everything, but the rubbers for it are brilliant and the blue on the handle is also solid rubbery goodness.

agree with you on the Moerman rubber^^^ iv been buying it several years now and not once have i had a duff un. once i started having employees i knew i had to find a make of rubber that wouldnt break the bank and also work well for every Tom **** or Harry . actually i Did employ a Harry ,he didnt last too long as it happens . turned out shoddy work And bad timekeeping altho had a friendly persona so was useless but not evil. i tried a few other makes before settling on the Moerman soft. iv always bought it in the big multi packs sealed at the factory. one feature that i like about the multipacks from Moerman is that the 42 inch lengths of rubber is perfectly straight in the pack ,not coiled up.

Some of my Ettore poles.

I've had an Ettore pole for ages. Mostly OK other than has been mentioned before sometimes the top sections starts rotating because it hasn't been locked (tightened) down adequately. Seems to take a lot of effort to tighten properly.
